Speaking of Journey to the West, I don't think anyone hasn't seen it, because this TV series is really classic and a household name. Almost everyone has seen The Journey to the West. Of all the editions in The Journey to the West, the 86th edition is the most classic. Personally, I think the later version can't surpass it at all. Version 86 is also my favorite version. I watched it many times. When I was a child, I basically watched it every winter and summer vacation.

In those days, it was actually very difficult to shoot a TV series, because the special effects and scenes in those days were far worse than now, and there were many monsters in Journey to the West. It is obviously more difficult to shoot such special effects in an era when special effects are not very developed.

I was particularly impressed by an episode of The Journey to the West. This episode is mainly about snake essence. At that time, I thought this special effect was too realistic, even better than it is now. It was really shocking, but in fact, the boa constrictor at that time had such a good effect, not because of props and special effects, but because it was actually a real snake.

I didn't know this until I saw the filming tidbits. At that time, the boa constrictor was very thick, about as thick as an adult man's forearm. This boa constrictor wrapped around the actors like this, which really made people feel a little scared, but I really admire these actors. In order to shoot the best results, they have worked so hard, and their professionalism is really touching.
