The Wandering Earth started shooting in the Oriental Film Capital, and used eight studios in the film and television industrial park, with an expansion area of nearly 65,438+10,000 square meters, including transport vehicles, underground cities and space stations. The film begins with a long shot of the whole underground city, surrounded by a fallen tree, with bookstores, snack bars, dragon dances, lanterns and other scenes. This set of shots was shot in Studio 20 of Film and Television Industrial Park.

With the help of 10 thousand planetary engines in the movie, I began my wandering journey. The visual elements of the planetary engine were shot in the film and television industrial park 12 studio. In order to present the wonders of the earth traveling in space, the art team has designed more than ten versions of the scheme from line drawing, coloring to dynamic preview, and carefully created the details of the landscape workshop.

Special effect lens

At the beginning of editing, the number of visual special effects shots in The Wandering Earth reached 4,000, and finally it was reduced to 2,200, still exceeding the number of shots in some conventional films. 50% of them are difficult visual effects lenses, and they also challenge many full CG lenses, such as building Shanghai into an ice wall with full CG lenses.

The film also set up a special UI group, which is responsible for the interactive interface design of all instruments and display screens in the film. In order to improve the sense of reality and make the facial light and eye interaction reflected on the actor's face more realistic, the crew insisted on real-life UI shooting from beginning to end.
