Introduction to Plum Blossom Award

The Painted Plum Award was established in 1993 and is an award issued by the Korean Federation of Broadcast Photography Directors. Established by the Korean Broadcast Directors of Photography Association, the judging committee selects documentaries and TV series produced by major television stations in the past year and evaluates the works based on their image beauty, artistry, creativity, experimental spirit, etc. The Best Actor and Actor Award was established in 1996. Actors with outstanding acting skills and good image are voted by directors of photography. Therefore, the actors who win this award are highly recognized by the industry and can be said to be one of the few best actor awards.
