How does Nikon D90 delay photography?

Nikon D90 camera and time-lapse photography in B-door shooting mode. It can be up to 30 minutes, and there is no time limit for remake interval.

The interval between two photos should be determined according to your own needs. The following are the steps of time-delay shooting and the calculation of interval time.

Time-lapse shooting:

1. Prepare the camera and fix it on a tripod, or place it on a stable horizontal surface.

Long exposure, closing the viewfinder eyepiece shutter can prevent light from entering the viewfinder and affecting the photo (closing the viewfinder eyepiece shutter)

Please note that noise (bright spots, bright pixels at irregular intervals or blurred images) may appear in the long exposure mode. Selecting Long Exposure Noise Reduction in the photo shooting menu as ON can reduce bright spots and fog images.

2. Select exposure mode M. ..

Press the mode button and rotate the main command dial at the same time.

Until m is displayed on the control panel.

3. Select the shutter speed.

When exposure metering is turned on, rotate the main command dial to select the shutter speed B door (light bulb) or remote control B door. When door B (light bulb) or door B (-) is selected, the exposure indication is not displayed.

4. Open the shutter → close the shutter.

Door B: After focusing, press the cable release button on the camera, another remote control cable or wireless remote control. Please press and hold the shutter button until the exposure is complete, and then release the shutter.

Remote control door B: Press the shutter release button completely.

B door: release the shutter button.

Interval time determination:

First, determine the real time of shooting. For example, if you want to shoot a two-hour real-time process and make the video have five minutes, you should first know that the frame rate of a general video is 1.24 frames/sec, which is 24 frames/sec, so you can calculate as follows:

The first video was shot for 5 minutes, or 300 seconds.

300 seconds times 24=7200 frames, which means 7200 photos are needed.

2 hours in real time, that is, 2×60×60=7200 seconds,

Take 7200 photos in 7200 seconds, that is:

7200 seconds ÷7200 sheets = 1 second,

The interval is one second.
