Sang Zi’s Travel Notes "75" Fenghu Park

If there is light in your eyes, love in your heart, kindness in your actions, poetry and distance under your feet, then there will be beautiful scenery everywhere you look, and wonderful songs everywhere you listen. On the ninth day of the Spring Festival in the Year of the Ox, after lunch in the workplace cafeteria, I strolled to Kunyang Fenghu Park in Pingyang County for a walk, intending to take some scenic photos for everyone to share.

Fenghu Park is located in the north central area of ??Kunyang Town, Pingyang County. The total area of ??the park is 30.99 hectares, including 12.39 hectares of water area. With a total investment of 230 million yuan, it was completed in 2018. The entire park is naturally divided into 7 major blocks by water bodies. Through functional division, landscape creation, and bridge connections, it forms a layout structure of "one belt, one lake, six continents and eight sceneries", which is favored by local people. It is known as "Ten Miles of Fenghu Lake".

Walking along the lakeside of the park, you can see the high-rise buildings on both sides of the bank, which complement each other. The blue sky and white clouds are reflected in the clear water of Tanghe Lake together with the high-rise buildings on both sides of the river, forming a perfect urban park style. The flowers and trees beside the lake are sparse and scattered. Along the trails in the park, there are signs of national intangible cultural heritage such as Wenzhou Drum Poetry and Puppet Show, as well as the descendants of Confucius Kong Hui, patriotic poet Lin Jingxi, landscape painter Huang Gongwang, calligraphy master Zhang Pengyi, Chinese chess king The explanations and introductions by famous historical figures in Pingyang such as Xie Xiaxun and famous guqin master He Tao make people admire it. It is indeed a thousand-year-old county.

You can enjoy the joy of forests and springs without leaving the city walls.

After Fenghu Park was completed and put into use, people from surrounding areas flocked to it and it became an internet celebrity check-in point in southern Wenzhou. In 2018, the Fenghu Park section of Pingruitang River was rated as one of the top ten beautiful rivers and lakes in Wenzhou City, and Fenghu Park was also selected as a provincial wetland park. The successful remediation of this section of the river has not only improved the living environment of the local people in Kunyang Town, but also brought opportunities for the development of villages along the Tanghe River. Today, a 24-solar greenway in Fenghu Park has led to the thousand-year-old ancient village Mingshan, closely connecting the park and the ancient village. This idea is very good, and I give Kunyang Town a thumbs up!

During the Spring Festival of the Year of the Ox, in order to create a peaceful and festive atmosphere and ensure the safety and health of the people during the festival, the Fenghu Park musical fountain water curtain show "Millennium Ancient Town Quality Kunyang" will be commissioned and broadcast during the Spring Festival. The entire water curtain show is divided into four chapters: Fengqi Kunyang, Drunken Beauty Kunyang, Charming Kunyang, and Kunyang Vientiane. Through Tongfumen, Wang Xizhi, Huang Gongwang, Kunyang Puppet Show, etc., it has a strong local Kunyang feel. The elements of color regenerate the past that has been submerged in the long river of history, and use visual art and picture language to create a world that wanders between ancient civilization and modern technology. It has become a unique visual feast of artistic IP. It brings a new immersive audio-visual experience to the citizens, making it seem like they can revisit history and explore the cultural Kunyang wherever they look.

Nowadays, Kunyang citizens have more good places for leisure and fitness, realizing the dream of “a park when you go out, and a greenway for fitness”.
