-A report on the investigation and study on the phenomenon of undergraduate holiday tutoring.

In recent years, the tide of college students' holiday tutoring has become increasingly hot. The "tutor notice" dubbed by the citizens as another city "psoriasis" and the "tutor" brand hanging on the roadside bicycle have now become another "landscape" on the streets of the city. Why does "family education" become a "single-plank bridge" for many college students to work during holidays?

During the summer vacation, I was lucky enough to witness the peak of family education in front of Changzhou Xinhua Bookstore, which was comparable to large-scale job fairs and markets (although no one stipulated it, Xinhua Bookstore was recognized as the "family education base" by Changzhou parents and students). There are only a few hundred square meters at the door where more than 200 people have gathered. Looking at the crowded crowd, it is no exaggeration to describe it as a sea of people. Once there is a "goal" (such as parents of students), the surrounding "heads" immediately swarmed, which surprised the onlookers, puzzled the parents and caused us to think.

To this end, our volunteers randomly consulted the opinions of people around them and reached the following common views.

As far as college students are concerned:

First, compared with other jobs, "tutoring" is easier. I can teach selectively and arrange my time better.

Second, you can "practice" your own professional knowledge, give full play to your own specialties, review old knowledge, and find new sources of learning (which is why most tutors are normal students);

Third, as an internship project, you can earn money at the same time, achieving a "win-win";

Fourth, tutoring at home during holidays can not only save the round-trip fare, but also be used as savings (tuition+living expenses) for the next semester, and can also be used as a "tourism fund" if conditions permit.

In terms of parents:

1. Ask a tutor for your child after a break, which can prevent learning from being thrown out of the clouds because of excessive play;

Second, you can make up the missed classes to prepare for the next semester;

Third, I found a good friend for my child, who can give necessary guidance in other aspects such as study and life;

Fourth, for those children who want to go for further study, it is easy to go for further study.

Our survey results show that some data show that more than 67% of college students will choose to be tutors when they work during the holidays, 73.6% of parents have a good impression on tutors, and about 54% of college students admit that they should pay attention to other things, such as learning professional knowledge, participating deeply and experiencing market competition. They believe that college students should broaden their horizons, and choosing to work in the market competition may exercise themselves better than being a tutor, and should increase the weight of employment.

In fact, about family education, we can't just "work hard". Shouldn't we think more about something behind "tutoring"? We should see some hidden problems of this occupation. Because I have my own family education experience and the experiences of my classmates around me, I summarize the hidden dangers of "family education" as follows:

First, the management mechanism.

At present, the tutor market is in an irregular state, and the government is indifferent. Although some intermediary companies emerge in an endless stream, most students think that the intermediary fees they pay are unreasonable. It is not excluded that some intermediary companies fish in troubled waters and only charge fees without introducing tutoring work. In this way, it has become an unorganized and unregulated "free market", which will inevitably lead to more chaotic conditions over time. Therefore, we call on the relevant departments to attach importance to this "soft market", provide convenient conditions for college students to take part-time jobs, and organize "undergraduate tutors' supply and demand meeting" to make it an orderly project.

Second, security issues cannot be prevented.

In the "supermarket", students or parents often choose the "object" based on their first impression, which is too rash. Generally, they only reach an oral agreement and there is no safe bottom line. There are also some tricky parents who arbitrarily deduct the teacher's "salary" on the grounds that their children's academic performance is not fast and their quality is not high. At the same time, the tutor market is hot, and there are precedents for parents to "depress prices". On the other hand, the family education treatment of "food and shelter" has more security risks. Therefore, it is urgent to protect students' legitimate rights and personal safety.

Third, moral issues are comparable.

A few days ago, I heard a classmate say such an example of tutoring. A college student and a parent negotiate the price of tutoring, "1.500 yuan will eat and live every month", and another girl who is looking for a part-time job immediately says "1.200 yuan" to the parent, and the parent turns around and lets go. After they left, the woman scolded at the back ... such "competitions" are too numerous to mention. There is also a shameful phenomenon: under the pressure of parents' high standards and strict requirements, some students do not hesitate to forge some relevant documents to "prove" their "ability". Can such ability and morality really meet the needs of society? The phenomenon of seeing without blaming is only the gradual retreat of morality! ? In this kind of "competition", we lost the most precious wealth in the back garden of life!

Fourth, neglect one thing and neglect another, and neglect your studies.

It is understandable to use spare time to make money and subsidize living expenses to reduce the burden on families, but the bounden duty of students is to study. If they take up a lot of study time and neglect their study, they will lose more than they gain. Working to earn money is secondary, and grasping the great opportunity to learn knowledge is the key to students' growth and success, and they must not covet the last. Instead of spending a lot of time to earn a little subsidy, it is better to make good use of time, lay a solid foundation of professional knowledge, and strive to use our high-tech knowledge to seek innovation in the future and create greater wealth for the country. At the same time, it also earns more and greater "wealth". So why not?

Faced with the above problems, we can't help but ask: when will the loopholes in family education be filled? Besides "tutoring", there is no other occupation suitable for our college students?

According to a survey by Sina.com. College students actually have new choices for their holidays. Some short-term knowledge-based jobs are still in short supply for college students.

Sales-challenge yourself. In this position, people's comprehensive quality can be exercised best. Shaping self-confidence, training eloquence and challenging yourself can also make people "touch" the market competition more deeply.

Software development-dare to laugh and look down on the same kind. As long as the professional knowledge is excellent, the unique creative thinking of college students provides them with unique advantages in software development, and they have their own world.

Writing-the history of writing and work. In literature, college students form their own school with their unique perspective, unique brushwork and style. The title of "freelance writer" also makes college students enjoy it.

Translation is very popular. For units with great demand, it is more economical to hire short-term college students to work than professional translators. For college students, it can not only improve their foreign language level, but also exercise their ability and make money. Why not kill three birds with one stone?

However, faced with many choices and many "trends", college students should grasp their own direction. While clarifying your own direction, you should also have your own determination and look at what you need from a dialectical point of view. The same is true for "family education". "People walk in the wind, but not everyone walks with the wind."
