A Generation of Heroes is adapted from the novel Qingmuchuan by Shaanxi writer Ye Guangling. It is a modern legendary drama jointly produced by Shanghai New Culture Media Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xidi Film and Television Communication Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xinbaoyuan Film and Television Investment Co., Ltd., starring Sun.
Based on Leifeng Town, a poor and backward town in southern Shaanxi in the 1920s, the play tells the story of how to avenge the death of his father after studying abroad, injecting fresh air into his hometown with advanced ideas, and going to the People's Liberation Army at a critical moment to promote the peaceful liberation of the town.
