20 17 what's interesting about cheung chau island? How can cheung chau island go to cheung chau island?
Cheung chau island —— Most of the impressions of Hong Kong's smallest outlying island come from TVB's TV dramas and movies, a bustling metropolis with many tall buildings and hurried steps. Every time I go to Hong Kong, I mostly go shopping, so it's difficult to associate this city with a holiday. In order to explore the sharp contrast between traditional fishing villages and modern metropolises, we boarded a passenger ship bound for Changzhou with curiosity.
It takes more than 2 hours from Shenzhen to cheung chau island, which is why many tour groups will not come here. Most of the island is Hong Kong local residents and free travellers. Sleep in the morning, wake up naturally, pack your bags, have breakfast, and then rush to the customs clearance port to prepare for customs clearance.
Pre-trip preparation and list
PS: The sockets in Hongkong are different from those in Chinese mainland. Most of them are three holes, even if both holes are round, it is best to bring adapters.
From Shenzhen Bay, you can choose to take a bus to Central, and then at Pier 5-First Ferry-Central Changzhou Pier. (PS: Tickets from Shenzhen Bay to Central need to be purchased before customs clearance. You can get on the bus directly at the corresponding station after customs clearance. )
Cross Victoria Harbour.
Cheung chau island is about 10 km from Hongkong. Before the early prosperity of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, it flourished as a fishing port and a stop for trading vessels. Although the trade center was later moved to Hong Kong and Kowloon, its face as a fishing port has not faded at all, and it still preserves the face of a fishing port.
Changzhou wharf
When I got off the boat, there was a fishy smell in the wet sea breeze. Opposite the pier are small shops of various colors and small booths for booking homestays. The afternoon sun shines through the leaves, leaving mottled shadows on the ground, which adds a little liveliness to the island invisibly. The sea breeze blew away the boredom of summer.

At the booth opposite the dock, we found Kennis, the landlord on Airbnb. The hotel is in a good location, and the beach is downstairs. There is a father who patiently teaches his children to swim in the shallow sea. In the distance, a strong man is playing in the sea with his golden hair, and two teddy bears on the shore are chasing each other ... This beautiful picture has opened the prelude to the weekend experience of leaving the island, and I can't wait to rush out and become a landscape in the eyes of others.
B&B Downstairs Beach
Cheung chau island covers an area of only 2.4 square kilometers. On the way from the pier to B&B, you can see all kinds of Hong Kong-style unique snacks ... My sister's eyes are shining from time to time, and I can't help feeling sorry for the fish and eggs in the pot ~ ~ ~ There are many tea restaurants on the island. You can choose a restaurant or go to the seafood market to buy seafood, and the price is also very beautiful.

The characteristic Ping An Bao on the island originated from Baoshan Festival (PS: a special festival in Changzhou). Every year, on the 10th day of the first lunar month, the residents of the island will prepare thousands of vegetarian buns, string them together with ropes, then spread Abaoshan (with bamboo shelves inside), and then hold activities to pray for blessings and rob the Baoshan. It is said that eating Ping An Bao can ensure peace all the year round. If you don't catch up with the festival, there are all kinds of ornaments on the island that say peace. It is also a good choice to bring a few friends back ~ ~
There are about 30,000 residents in cheung chau island, and the room spacing is relatively narrow, but this will not affect their love for life at all. Walking on the island, you will find that every family will plant a lot of green plants.
Although the island is small, there are basically schools, churches, markets, parks, street view gardens, museums, and infrastructure. Compared with Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, I prefer it here, with less commercialization and more life.
Cheung chau island at sunset.
Buried by the coming night, I saw the sun. Fortunately, after visiting the island, it was close to dinner time, and I casually found a tea restaurant to solve dinner. The number of people at the seaside food stalls began to increase, and the salted fish hanging in the street seafood shop was slightly warmer under the light.
Cheung Chau Night
On the other side of the sea is the brightly lit Central. At night, cheung chau island went into hibernation with the sound of the waves. Mixed with the laughter of barbecue, I really think this is a very suitable place for TB.
Sunrise in Cheung Chau
The alarm clock at 5: 30 in the morning woke us up from our sleep and struggled to move to the balcony, only to find that the young people downstairs were waiting for the sunrise before us. Excited for a while, I found that the sun came out really slowly, so I found a suitable angle to switch my mobile phone to time-lapse photography, and went back to Duke Zhou ~ ~ When I woke up, I found that the sun was already high and the mobile phone on the balcony was about to explode, but fortunately, the video recorded the whole sunrise. ....
There is a public stadium next to Changren Lane on the island, which is open from 8 am to 6 pm every day. After breakfast, we came to take a group of photos and then took a boat back to Central.
Quiet summer
The ferry runs about half an hour. After lunch, we bought ordinary seats on the first floor and went back to Central. Next to the central pier is a large shopping center.
Shopping center. So we can choose to buy it in buy buy, and then take a bus back in Central.
