The most worthwhile place to go in Chaoshan

The most worthwhile places in Chaoshan are Nan 'ao Island, Shantou Small Park, Paifang Street, Guangji Bridge and Jiexi Huangmanzhai Waterfall.

I. Nan 'ao Island

The largest and only island county in Guangdong Province, known as "the throat of Fujian and Guangdong, the barrier of eastern Guangdong", has always been the only place and transit point for southeast coastal trade, the main channel for Taiwan and maritime trade, and an important node of the Maritime Silk Road. The island is rich in resources, including Island National Forest Park, Green Bay National Ocean Park and Guangdong Nanpeng Islands National Nature Reserve.

Second, Shantou Small Park

Shantou small park is the commercial center and cultural center of Shantou old city. The arcades and streets in this area are basically modeled after the Paris block, and they are distributed radially in a fan shape. Together with the old neighborhoods on both sides, it starts from the old "Yancheng Head" in the east, reaches Hong Ting in the north, and reaches Shantou Port in the south, forming a prosperous commercial district and residential area with the architectural characteristics of 1930s.

3. Paifang Street

Paifang Street is located in the old town of Chaozhou. There are 22 archways in the street, and there is a story behind each archway. Most of the archways were built by scholars, champions and ministers. The earliest archway on the street is a column-shaped historical archway that appeared in 15 17, and many arcade buildings are preserved along the street.

Fourth, Guangji Bridge.

Five, Jiexi Huangmanzhai Waterfall

Huangmanzhai Waterfall Group in Jiexi is known as the largest waterfall in southeast China, which is about15km away from Jingming Hot Spring Resort. The waterfalls in this mountain are composed of Huangmanzhai Waterfall, Yinhe Waterfall and Triassic Waterfall.
