Is the mobile phone photography circle safe?

Excellent imaging quality has contributed to the sales of P20 series mobile phones. It seems that since then, mobile phone manufacturers have begun to work hard on mobile phone photos.

Walking into the offline mobile phone store, the shopping guide will definitely tell you how many pixels our mobile phone is, and rarely mention other parameters. Over time, everyone thinks that high pixels are good for taking pictures, which makes everyone walk into the misunderstanding of mobile phone purchase.

First, let's talk about the size of the sensor. We often hear that the bottom is the size of the sensor. The larger the sensor size, the larger the CDD/CMOS area, the more photons captured, the better the photosensitive performance, and the smaller the noise generated by taking pictures. For example, 1 1Ultra released by Xiaomi last year is equipped with a large-size sensor of Samsung S5KGN2, which enables 1 1U to obtain excellent imaging even in extremely dark environment.

After that, the sensor size is inseparable from the pixel size. This size refers to the size of each pixel in the sensor mentioned above. Generally speaking, the bigger the value, the better. 1.4μm is better than1.25μ m.

Let's talk about the aperture again. The aperture is represented by the letter f, which stands for the aperture of the lens. The aperture value is expressed in the form of f+ numbers, such as f 1.6, f2.8, etc. It should be noted that the larger this value, the smaller the aperture. The aperture can control the incident light. The larger the aperture, the more light enters. Aperture also determines the exposure of photos. In addition, it can also control the depth of field (that is, the range where the subject is clearly visible). For example, the X80 Pro released by VIVO this year has a main aperture of f 1.57, which greatly improves the background blur and imaging of mobile phones.

Then talk about the pixels that everyone cared about before. The height of pixels does not determine the quality of imaging, but only the size of the photo. The higher the effective pixel, the larger the generated image size. For example, under the same conditions, 8 million pixels on a mobile phone is very clear as a wallpaper, but it is a bit fuzzy on a computer.

At the conference of Huawei P50Pro last year, Huawei first put forward the concept of computational photography, which enabled the imx766 sensor of Huawei P50Pro to play back and forth with flagship cameras of many brands, thanks to the most important thing of photography: algorithm.

Our simple understanding is that the generation of photos is no longer absolutely dependent on the professional photography knowledge of image sensors and photographers, nor on the pressed shutter, but the role of chip hardware such as mathematical algorithms and CPU is more important. It is the effect of combining multiple photos or even photos taken by different cameras by mobile phone programs and algorithms.

To put it bluntly, under the same hardware conditions, the stronger the field algorithm, the stronger the final imaging ability of the mobile phone, which is why the iPhone series1200,000 pixel lens has been used for several generations, and the imaging effect is still very good.
