What is school of geodesy and geomatics's major?

The College of Surveying and Mapping has three undergraduate majors: geophysics, surveying and mapping engineering and navigation engineering.

Among them, surveying and mapping engineering is divided into geodesy and satellite navigation, engineering and industrial surveying, aerospace surveying and mapping, urban spatial information engineering and other professional directions. In order to meet the needs of social development, the college implements the plan of cultivating students in the first and second grades, choosing courses in different directions in the third grade, and students voluntarily choosing their major direction.

The predecessor of the Institute of Surveying and Mapping is the former Wuhan Institute of Surveying and Mapping, which was established in 1956. The college is located in Jiangcheng Wuhan. Since its establishment 50 years ago, it has been determined to reform and innovate, actively and vigorously promoted teaching, scientific research and social services, made a large number of significant achievements in the fields of national economy and national defense construction, and trained a large number of leading figures in surveying and mapping in China.
