At the 38th UNESCO World Heritage Conference, the Grand Canal project was listed as a world cultural heritage after deliberation. On the Grand Canal, one of the most important existing monuments is the one dam, three gates and two Macao in Chang 'an, and it is also one of the 58 heritages of the entire Grand Canal. In history, Chang 'an Sluices include two dams (the new dam is also called "Chang 'an Tugboat Dam"), three sluices (upper, middle and lower) and two Macao reservoirs. Among the existing cultural relics, except the old dam, all other gates and dams can confirm their positions, and the basic pattern still exists.
