How to turn ps into a foggy forest?
First of all, let me introduce the original picture to you. The original picture was taken in White County, Ganzi, Sichuan. The morning mist rose from the valley and covered a pine forest. In addition, the sunrise light comes from the left side of the valley, and the side backlight passes through the gap of the pine forest, forming the Tingdahl phenomenon. As follows:
Judging from the histogram of the original image, the hue is mainly concentrated in the middle part, and there is neither overexposure nor underexposure. The light ratio of this dense fog is light, and there is no possibility of overexposure and underexposure. Therefore, for pre-shooting, after taking a photo, you must check the histogram several times and adjust the exposure compensation several times to ensure that the color is mainly concentrated in the middle part.
Next, make simple adjustments in Lightroom or ACR, mainly including: increasing contrast, darkening highlights, improving shadows and increasing white levels. It can be seen that the color of the whole picture will be richer after increasing the contrast; Increasing the white color scale can also enrich the clouds; Improving the clarity can also enrich the details of the rain and fog part of the whole photo. Finally, the whole histogram has also changed, and the histogram content has expanded from the middle part to both sides.
Then adjust the "Camera Calibration" at the bottom. The default is Adobe Standard, and you usually choose a profile according to your personal preference. The default configuration of "camera scenery" is for scenery, which will increase the saturation and sharpness of this photo; "Camera Portrait" is aimed at portraits by default, which will soften the whole photo and restore the skin color of portraits. Because I want to go to Photoshop to make more fine adjustments to my photos, and the color of "camera landscape" is too bright, so sometimes I choose "camera standard" to make fine adjustments in PS.
In the above part, the adjustment of Lightroom and ACR is similar, and then Photoshop will be opened for fine-tuning. Here you need to prepare a plug-in called "Nik Collection" in advance. Please download and install it in your own Photoshop.
The first step into Photoshop is to find the stain of CMOS. Because outdoor photography will pollute CMOS more or less when changing lenses, dust will stand on CMOS, and there will be unnatural stains in the photos. So the first step is to remove the stain on CMOS. Find the tool shown below on the left side of the toolbar, and the shortcut key is "J".
If you use this decontamination tool, you will get dirty. Is it very worry-free In addition, any unwanted foreground and background, such as wires, can be removed directly with this tool! Next, look at the plug-in "Nik Collection" just mentioned! Enter the "Color Efex Pro" filter in the filter, select "Tone Contrast" on the left and click "Brush" in the lower right corner. The plug-in will create a new "Tone Contrast" layer and automatically add a black mask layer. The Tone Contrast filter mainly improves the contrast of the picture, but the default adjustment is the color contrast of the whole picture, sometimes it may be too strong. You know, extremes meet, so we use a mask here to adjust only what we want to adjust.
Wipe off the part to be adjusted in the picture with a brush in Photoshop, and then click "Apply" according to the prompt. The first time, I mainly used a brush to erase the edges of pine trees and clouds that I wanted to highlight in the middle of the picture.
Next, you can repeatedly use the "tone contrast" just now and adjust the parts you want to highlight a little. The later stage is a delicate work, which needs to be adjusted step by step. Next, in order to decorate the clouds and increase the yellow halo of the clouds, Nik's "Mirror of the Sky" filter is needed. First, use the shortcut key: "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E" to stamp the existing layer, and then select Nik's "Mirror of the Sky" filter to erase the cloud with a brush. At this time, the cloud will show a light yellow effect.
Next, add several adjustment layers, mainly "curve" and "color balance".
At this point, this photo has been adjusted almost on my computer. Next, I can sharpen it according to my personal preference and save it as JPG.
Let's take a look at the comparison between the original film and the film.
