Appreciation of the old lady's picking jade songs and Tang poems

The old lady picks jade songs.

Li he

Pick jade, pick jade,

It's lewd to walk around.

I'm worried about hunger and cold dragons,

Blue creek is not innocent.

Eating hazelnuts in the rain at night,

Cuckoo's mouth is full of blood and tears.

The water in the blue stream is strange,

I have hated streams for thousands of years.

The wind and rain in the sloping mountains and cypresses,

The rope hanging at the foot of the spring is green and curled up.

This village is cold and white.

Beautiful scenery on the ancient terrace.

In the middle of the Tang Dynasty, many people left their homes and starved, risking their lives to mine jasper in Qingxi at the foot of Lantian Mountain, and many people drowned in the stream. This has become a serious social problem, which has aroused the poet's reflection. The poet Wei's jade picking trip and Li He's jade picking old lady's song came into being under this background.

Li He's poetry is a profound reflection of reality, but it is different from Wei's jade picking trip and the works of Bai Juyi and Du Fu. The reason why Li He's poems have been passed down through the ages is inseparable from its artistic uniqueness. Translation into modern poetry, or its artistic charm can be seen:

"Quick jade, quick jade! Use a' fountain pen'! " Yell and then rush. Just to carve a step for ladies, they are more dissolute and addicted to beauty. My old man was hungry and cold, and the dragon in the stream was stirred up. The blue stream has turned into a bay full of mud and sludge. On the mountain where it rains heavily at night, we have to fill our hunger with wild hazelnuts. Cuckoo drops blood, and it's my old man who cries. How many jade pickers have been swallowed by the surging Bixi. The ghosts who died at the bottom of the stream have gone through thousands of years, and their resentment is hard to settle. On the steep barren hills, cypress trees roared and the rain fell wildly. But old man, I want to tie a rope around my waist, hang down a deep stream and sway in the wind and rain. I can't help but miss the old man's heart. The baby in the cold village is crying.

Four sons on the ancient stone steps are more sad to see you!

Compared with Wei's jade picking trip, you will understand it more concretely. Wei's jade-picking trip is similar to Li He's poem in content, and it also describes the hardships of "official levy" jade-picking workers: "There is no one in the mountains at night, leaving hazelnuts and rain deep." I also wrote about the hardships of jade pickers: "The only daughter pays for food, and the South China mourns." But this poem is like a real photographic work, it just objectively "introduces" such a reality and writes about such a suffering person. The content of Li He's "The Old Lady Picks Jade Songs" is roughly the same; The reason why Li He's poems are more touching than Wei's lies not in his "ambition" but in the success of artistic description.

The most prominent feature of Li He's poems in writing is that the poet puts himself in the other's shoes, feels the pain of labor, and then creates them in the first person, which makes the readers immersive and has a stronger artistic appeal. In the poem, the poet sees it completely through the eyes of the "old man" and through the "old man"

For the mouth. The lyric hero here is the husband himself, which is convenient for the poet to melt his passion into the flesh and blood of the lyric hero, and the poet and the old man are integrated into one, reaching the artistic realm of "never leaving" as Wang Guowei said.

At the beginning of the poem, it depicts the voice of government officials urging workers with hatred. This urging voice brought the reader into an atmosphere of indignation. On the one hand, officials urged, on the other hand, the working people were expelled. What a sharp opposition. The second sentence further points out the root of the tragic fate of the working people being driven out of their homes.

Jade pickers starved, went through hardships and even died in a stream. Originally, it was only to satisfy the luxurious and dissolute life of the nobles. This "lust" is an angry complaint from jade miners!

Then, through the mouth of the "old lady", the sad environment atmosphere is rendered: muddy streams, torrential night rain and the sad cry of cuckoo birds; Depicting the hard life and labor scenes: feeding on wild hazelnuts, tying ropes around their waist and falling into deep streams to collect jade; It depicts the sad psychological activities: crying, missing the baby and hating the flow. Vividly reappears the tragic experience of the jade picker, which is not only the accusation of the old jade picker with blood, but also the eruption of the poet's anger! This is what makes this poem more touching than Wei Caiyu's tour. It is not a purely objective narrative, but a combination of subjective and objective feelings. In addition, Li He's poems also created a lyrical hero with a three-dimensional sense-an old lady, which was beyond Wei Caiyu's trip. This lyrical image can be juxtaposed with Bai Juyi's Charcoal Selling Man and Du Fu's Shi Hao Old Woman, which shines immortal in the art hall of Tang poetry!
