What substance is hypo?

Haibo is a chemical substance. Hypo, also known as sodium thiosulfate, is a chemical substance with the chemical formula of Na2S2O3. Hypo is a colorless and transparent monoclinic crystal with moderate reducing ability, which is widely used in different fields. In the photographic industry, hypo is used as a fixing agent, which reacts with silver halide in photographic film and paper to form a water-soluble complex, thus fixing the image. Hypo is also a common antidote, especially for cyanide poisoning, which can react with cyanide to produce non-toxic substances. Hypo is also commonly used as a dechlorination agent in water treatment to remove free chlorine and other oxidizing substances in water.
