1 range

This standard specifies the naming method of lamp holder and lamp holder of electric light source.

2 symbol system

One of the purposes of this symbol system is to make each designated symbol short, easy to read and helpful to show its purpose. Symbol system consists of letters, numbers and symbols, and each part has its own meaning. Each specific lamp cap and lamp holder can only be named by one symbol, and this symbol system cannot be used to identify the materials used in the lamp cap and lamp holder. All parts of the symbol system should be directly connected together, and there should be no gaps or other separators.

The complete symbol of the lamp holder takes the following form.

Lamp holder symbol: (a)(b)? - (d) /(e) ×(f)

Lamp holder symbol: (a) (b)? - (d)

Note: Abbreviated lamp cap symbol can be used, but this abbreviation symbol must not cause misunderstanding.

The symbol in front of the diagonal in the lamp holder symbol indicates the content that is very important for the interchangeability between a lamp holder and a lamp holder. This particular part of the symbol is the same for the lamp holder and its lamp holder. The part after the diagonal in the lamp holder symbol (if any) indicates some important dimensions of the lamp holder, but these dimensions are not necessary parts of the interchangeability requirements of the lamp in the lamp holder. However, this size is very important for the interchangeability of lamp holders of different light sources installed on the same type of lamp.

Note: Contrary to North American terminology, IEC refers to the contact part and fixed part of headlamps without lamps as "lamp ends".

Three basic symbols

Part (a) of the symbol consists of one or more capital letters, indicating the type of lamp holder. Although the letters below represent lamp holders, they have similar meanings to lamp holders.

B- bayonet lamp holder;

BA-bayonet lamp holder, originally used for car lights;

BM-miner's lamp bayonet cap;

E- (Edison) screw cover;

F- lamp holder with contact;

The lowercase letters after the letter f indicate different forms of contacts, such as:

A- the cylindrical pin;

B- represents a grooved pin;

C-shaped pin with special shape;

G- two or more protruding contacts, such as pins or terminals;

K- lamp holder with connector;

P- pre-focusing lamp holder;

R- lamp holder with concave contact;

S-shell lamp holder-the lamp holder is fixed, and there is no protruding part in the lamp holder;

SV-Shell lamp holder with tapered end (V-shape);

T-shaped lamp holder for telephone;

W stands for lamp end. The electrical contact between the lamp and the lamp holder is made directly through the leads located on the end surface of the lamp. The glass part (or other insulating material part) at the end of the lamp is essential for the installation of the lamp in the lamp holder. For a single lamp cap that can replace the whole lamp end, sign on the insulating material with the same interchangeability requirements, which can also be represented by symbols;

Note: Some early symbols were similar to containers in shape, which led to the use of the letter symbol "W".

For example: E27-screw cap;

F a4-lamp holder with cylindrical pin contact.

X—— If according to the above regulations, a lamp holder cannot be represented by symbols, then this lamp holder is represented by the capital letter X plus a series of numbers.

For example: x 5 1 1- glass lamp end with two independent metal fins.

Modification method ⅰ

If the additional features of the lamp holder are included in the above capital letters and can be represented by additional capital letters, the letter representing the most important meaning in the whole letter combination should be ranked first.

For example: PK22s-Pre-focusing lamp holder with terminal.

Modification method Ⅱ

Lampholders whose characteristics meet the requirements of this standard can adopt the symbols already used by lampholders at present. If the lamp holder is not interchangeable (or not completely interchangeable) in terms of electrical or mechanical requirements, capital letters X, Y, Z or U, or the combination of two or more such letters, shall be added after the basic symbols of the lamp holder.

For example: BY22d-B22 lamp holder with special requirements.

Gy 16-G 16 lamp holder cannot be interchanged with G 16 basic lamp holder.

Modification method ⅲ

Under special circumstances, part (a) of a symbol can be preceded by a number, usually 2. This symbol indicates that the whole lampholder is a combined lampholder consisting of two (or more) single similar lampholders.

For example, 2G 13-a combined lamp holder consisting of two G 13 lamps arranged side by side and at a certain distance (this lamp holder is used for U-shaped fluorescent lamps).

Part (b) of the symbol consists of a number, which represents the approximate size of the lamp holder in millimeters ... The main relationship with the letters of the basic symbol is as follows:
