There are many ancient ginkgo biloba in the five villages of Dongshan, Beiwanglingxia Village, Chawan Village, Baisha Village, Yuhua Scenic Area and Diaohualou Scenic Area.

There are more than 40 ancient ginkgo trees in Cao Wu, Wuyu, Chawan, Yangwan, Shangwan, Baisha and Dongshan Yushan Island alone. In the five villages of Dongshan, there are two male and female ginkgo trees, the age of which is 1000 years, which were built by Wu Shiya, a celebrity of Dongshan in Qing Dynasty. The village of Wanglingxia in the north of Dongshan Mountain is the site of the "observation platform" on the border of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period 2500 years ago. There is a tree at the entrance of the village that was listed as "Jiangsu Ginkgo King" by Wuzhong District Agriculture Bureau in 2000. The tree is more than 30 meters high, with a trunk circumference of more than 20 meters and a DBH of 3.7 meters. What is even more amazing about this tree is that from the top of the tree to the bottom of the tree, like a knife chop, only a quarter of the original tree is left, and many black spots are left at the height of 10 meters. According to the local old man, the tree was struck by lightning a hundred years ago, and then magically grew new branches at the bottom. In the early 1950s, local people grafted female ginkgo on new branches, with an annual output of nearly 100 kilograms. Because of its tenacious vitality, this tree is regarded as a "sacred tree" by local villagers. What's even more amazing is that there are three 280-year-old and three 360-year-old ancient ginkgo trees in Sangushudi, Guzhou Lane, Chawan Village, and Dangdangshi Ginkgo Group, Baisha Village, Dongshan Village, which are flourishing and fruitful every year. Dongshan Yuhua Scenic Area and Diaohualou Scenic Area have many ancient gingko trees that are hundreds of years old. Every late autumn and early winter, "golden leaves are everywhere" attracts many photographers at home and abroad.
