Beijing Institute of Modern Music, short for Yin Bei, is a private non-academic education institution. Capital University of the Arts, which mainly teaches modern music, has a strong faculty and is now preparing to move towards an international teaching policy.

The predecessor of Beijing Modern Conservatory of Music was the Beijing Pop Music Training Center, which was established in April 1993.

After several years' efforts, the college has developed into a comprehensive art college that mainly cultivates modern pop music talents, as well as national music and serious music talents.

Offering pop singing, music performance, jazz performance, music technology, recording arts, music education, dance performance, dance choreographer, street dance, modern dance, international standard dance, film and television performance, broadcast host, film and television choreographer, photography art, art design, makeup modeling, art management and other majors. The college consists of pop music research institute, music media research institute and Beijing Modern Music Art Troupe.
