Single focus shooting technology
1, scenery shooting
Single-point focusing is complete
When shooting scenery, we usually use a tripod to determine the composition before shooting. At this time, choosing single-point autofocus is a more convenient operation mode.
Change the focus and reflect different emotions.
When we need to use large aperture and shallow depth of field to highlight themes such as flowers, trees, etc., even if the composition is exactly the same, we can get two works with completely different picture styles and theme ideas because of different emphases. At this time, single-point focusing is adopted, which makes it more convenient to choose the focus independently. Take Nikon's latest D5 100 digital SLR camera as an example. First, choose the focusing mode as single servo AF (AF-S), and then switch between 1 1 focusing points at will through the cross navigation key on the back of the fuselage. If you press the Enter key in the center of the navigation key for a long time, the focus will return to the center immediately.
Focus on the picture 1/3 to restore the truth.
When shooting scenery, the basic point is to narrow the aperture and increase the depth of field, so that more scenery can be included in the depth of field. When the depth of field is large, select single-point focusing, and select the focusing point at 1/3 of the picture. At this time, the distant scene may have a depth of field, but it is closer to the actual viewing effect. In addition, in view of the current production level of digital lenses (especially when used in non-full-frame cameras), in order to avoid diffraction blur caused by too small aperture, we suggest that when using full-frame cameras, the aperture should be reduced to about F 16; When shooting with an APS-C camera, just reduce the aperture to F 1 1.
When taking pictures, many people will use the shutter to focus automatically. At this time, the focus may not be able to focus on the place they want at once. Although it is possible to use manual focus correction, it is often possible to make the focus appear where you want by repeatedly pressing the shutter a small amount. This is faster than rotating the focus ring.
2. Portrait shooting
The success rate of single-point focusing is higher
If you don't master the function of focusing linkage well, focusing will be easier to focus on obstacles, but the success rate of single-point focusing is higher!
Focus on the eyes close to the lens
Focusing on the eyes can be said to be the iron law of portrait photography. Many users may choose? Dynamic area focusing? I feel that the focus speed is relatively fast, but the focus is likely to fall on the forehead, the tip of the nose and even other parts of the body, which will cause the close-up of the characters to be dull and not vivid enough. This problem is particularly serious when shooting with a large aperture. When shooting profile images, priority should be given to the eyes close to the lens. If it is a close-up of a big photo, the focus should be more accurate; We should pay more attention to the shorter lower eyelashes than the longer upper eyelashes.
Single-point pre-focusing shooting moving portraits
When shooting dynamic portraits, you can still shoot with a single focus. When using, you should first narrow the aperture, fix a point as the focus, and keep the same distance from the subject. Once you are satisfied with the current state and composition, you can press the shutter to shoot. Because the aperture is reduced, even if the distance from the subject changes slightly, it is still within the depth of field, and the focusing is still successful. Generally speaking, the center focus of digital SLR cameras is cross focus, and its focusing accuracy is higher than that of edge focus.
3. Still Life Shooting
Sacrificing focusing speed to obtain focusing accuracy
For still life photography, the change of depth of field has a great influence on the success of photos. Therefore, at this time, the requirements for focusing are still quite high. Single-point focusing combined with live view function can achieve high-precision focusing.
Focus on the real scene, preferably.
In the strong sunshine outdoors, you often can't see the LCD clearly. It's best to prepare a magnifying glass for LCD viewing. It can enlarge the picture by 2-3 times, making it easier to confirm the focus and composition. If not, it doesn't matter. A black cloth can come in handy. After covering the camera, you can clearly see the LCD screen in the strong outdoor sunlight.
Find the anti-point and improve the success rate of focusing
Although there is only a very short time from focusing to pressing the shutter, the focus may also shift. The reason may be the photographer's own shaking. The best solution is to shoot quickly after focusing.
If the light at the scene is dim, in addition to the camera's focusing auxiliary light, users can also use a flashlight or mobile phone screen to illuminate the still life, so as to increase the surface brightness of the still life and improve the focusing speed. In addition, digital SLR cameras now generally have a focus lock function, so you can focus first, focus well, and then perform a focus lock function, and then re-compose and shoot.
