Nissan 350Z is more like Audi TT, better.

A brand-new Audi TT, a Nissan 350Z, appeared on the winding mountain road with two thick smoke and the shrill screams of tires ... The photographer shouted angrily: "Do you want to take pictures?" ! "

There is a kind of car, when you sit in the driver's seat, you will forget whether the body is sexy, whether it is rich in configuration, and whether it is comfortable to sit. All your thoughts are on the steering wheel in your hand and the road in front of you. They are what we usually call "drivers' cars". Audi's new TT and Nissan 350Z are such two cars.

Since 1998 went on the market in autumn, Audi TT has set off a strong fashion storm in the field of sports cars, which has injected a brand-new force into Audi product series. Now, the second generation of this successful model came out on April 6, 2006. The brand-new Audi TT sports car is superior to its predecessor in shape design, power transmission system and drive system.

Although the body size of the new TT has not changed much compared with the previous generation, it has become more aggressive from the rim to the body lines. The sense of muscle comes from the lines on the side of the car and the exaggerated shape of the traditional "big mouth" of the public. Headlights are pulled obliquely between the two contour lines, and the corners of eyes are lifted. The rear headlights are integrated with the tail and still maintain a rounded design. After adopting the tubular reflector technology, the rectangular outer lampshade makes it look like a three-dimensional beam visually. When my colleague drove Nissan 350Z to TT, we found that TT's body seemed to be more compact. Although the 350Z has the advantage of 139mm in body length, it is thinner and shorter in body width and height, which seems to be more similar to the bow and arrow shape of Porsche Cayman. Long wheelbase, short front and rear suspension, middle cockpit and wide and low body not only ensure the fullness of the body atmosphere.

Thirty-seven years ago, starting from 240Z, the pioneering work of Nissan Z series, it seems that Z series sports cars became the image representative of Nissan in overseas markets overnight. With the re-emergence of 350Z in 2002, Nissan stood on the same starting line with Audi TT and Porsche Cayman.

When we opened the heavy doors of two cars, their completely different personalities appeared in front of us. Audi TT has always maintained the consistent style of Audi car interior. European media and consumers have a high evaluation of Audi's interior design, which is no wonder that it has been continued in a performance sports car like TT. The design of the central control panel is quite satisfactory, and the MMI multimedia interactive system, multi-function steering wheel or voice control system can still meet the driving needs. The previous generation TT led the trend of adopting independent circular air outlets with metal edges. The new TT continues this design, but the difference is that the number of air outlets has increased from 2 to 3 now. However, what excites us most is the flat steering wheel of the new TT. The radius of the three-spoke design is very small, and the flat bottom design can be seen in Ferrari F430 and the 5th generation golf GTI, which not only increases the driver's knee activity space, but also strengthens the sports atmosphere in the cockpit. In addition, the new TT adds many detailed and practical functions in the interior space, such as trunk storage isolation net, front storage box, enlarged storage box in the door, glove box and independent glasses box. The new TT seems to have made some efforts to facilitate people's daily driving. Audi's new TT makes us feel comfortable with exquisiteness and carefulness, while 350Z tells us that if you want to drive happily, don't worry about things that make people feel too comfortable. Although we also found some high-end configurations such as cruise control, BOSE stereo, navigation system and electric heating seats on the 350Z car, they seem to be hidden in the dark interior, which will not affect the driver's attention at all, and the dashboard and three data tables set above the center console are so eye-catching and prominent in the whole car. Audi's new TT has a second row of seats. Although it is not very spacious, it is more than enough for three children. The 350Z got rid of this burden and simply replaced it with a huge sound speaker and a large storage box.

In addition to the above, Audi's new TT and Nissan 350Z are machines that only belong to drivers. In order to keep pace with the new generation of Audi cars, the new TT also adopts a number of advanced technologies. The new TT has two power configurations to choose from: front-wheel drive 2.0TFSI and quattro all-wheel drive 3.2V6 Of course, in order to compete with 350Z, we chose the 3.2V6 version. 3.2 The weight of 3.2 3.2 quattro model is 14 10 kg, which is 90 kg lighter than the previous generation model. The benefits of hybrid ASF technology lie not only in light weight, but also in the lower center of gravity and 50% higher torsional stiffness than the previous generation, which are prerequisites for improving the handling performance of the new TT. This 3.2-liter displacement V6 engine originated from Golf R32 can generate the maximum power of 184 kW at 6300 rpm and the maximum torque of 320 Nm at 3000 rpm. The 6-speed DSG dual-clutch manual transmission is also one of the killers of Audi's new TT, and it also has a name called "S-Tronic". TT's quattro all-wheel drive technology was specially developed by Audi for vehicles equipped with transverse engines. Unlike quattro (vertical engine layout) on other Audi vehicles, TT's quattro system uses an electronically controlled Haldex clutch differential instead of a purely mechanical Torsen differential. Engines and gearboxes have always been the strengths of Volkswagen Group. Audi can naturally choose the best resources in the group and make the best combination. The ASF technology of aluminum alloy and high-strength steel also makes the weight of the whole frame only 206 kg, and the weight of aluminum alloy accounts for 69% of the weight of the whole vehicle. In contrast, Nissan 350Z may not have so many dazzling technologies, but the VQ35DE engine with strong racing charm can easily cope with long-term high-intensity operation of more than 6000 rpm. The maximum power of 350Z can reach 206KW, which is enough to ensure that the vehicle can easily reach the maximum speed of 250km/h, and the maximum torque of 363Nm/4800rpm is enough to make most opponents fall behind. At present, only the version of 6-speed manual gearbox has been introduced in China, with the clear purpose of making the slogan of 350Z "born for running" resound throughout the China market. The shift lever is really short and pithy, and the shift stroke is short, but the shift smoothness is a bit rough, and the clutch pedal adjustment is very difficult. If you put a box of tofu in the trunk like in "Initial D", I really can't guarantee their integrity. Nevertheless, I realized the rudeness of 350Z from its almost simple personality. Driving Audi's new TT is a pleasure. As long as you hold the steering wheel at 9: 15 or 2: 45 and always aim your thumb at the center of bending, all other concerns seem to be solved by TT technology. In front of this series of sharp bends, in order to bite TT tightly, the driver of 350Z must turn the steering wheel back to his head, and then try his best to turn the steering wheel back, praying that there is no car coming across. As soon as the short straight appeared, the 350Z roared like a stimulant, and the front of the car quickly jumped out. When the next sharp turn appeared, I found TT staring at me from the rearview mirror of 350Z Z. However, pride comes at a price. I sacrificed a lot of brain cells in the recoil when accelerating at 350Z and the forward jump when braking. TT has always maintained a calm attitude, which does not mean that it has no passion, but that German cars made by Germans prefer a steady, step-by-step and affordable style, while 350Z is always willing to swing from side to side like a madman, and it is difficult for its drivers to maintain the verticality of the car body.

Crazy enough, but the photographer is as anxious as we are. You know, when we shoot dynamic films, the speed will be very slow, almost all of them will step on the clutch, but now the photographer is trying to capture that slightly lost moment. Work is important, and you will be scolded if you can't go out or go back. You can use this time to reflect on the difference between the two cars. Regardless of the shape and configuration of the two cars for the time being, there is no small difference in personality alone. Audi's new TT is rational, accurate, self-controlled and agile, but it makes you have to drive according to its ideas. Nissan 350Z will make you wonder why you like driving, or you can tear the road in an extremely barbaric way. For those crazy people who love to play with cars, they will not only be satisfied with the appearance of the car when it leaves the factory, but also have fun from the modification. The more primitive 350Z has more room in this respect, and the electronic machine Audi TT may be more suitable for sons and brothers who like to drive comfortably and occasionally be wild. The reason is biased towards Audi's new TT, the emotion is biased towards Nissan's 350Z, and the wallet denies both, alas!

postscript

Everyone in the editorial department was excited to see Audi TT and Nissan 350Z parked downstairs. Indeed, their cool shapes can immediately arouse everyone's appetite, not to mention their super cool driving experience, which is enough to make us young people crazy about cars. On the winding mountain road in Huairou, my colleagues and I started a chase. TT's stable chassis makes me full of confidence, and the super cool 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox makes driving more arbitrary. My colleague who prefers manual transmission chose Nissan 350Z and followed me closely. Our crazy racing car was strongly protested by photographer Andy, whose hysterical cry came from the walking table from time to time: "Slow down! I can't stand it! " . On the whole, I feel that the curve performance of Audi TT is slightly better than that of 350Z. When cornering, the body is more stable, the tire grip is strong, and the handling ability of the front is reassuring. The performance of 350Z is also excellent, but it always feels a little astringent when shifting gears, which affects the consistency of shifting actions. After changing trains, we chose an expressway that has not been opened to traffic. Unwilling colleagues drove the Audi TT to constantly provoke, and simply came to a fast competition. Seeing that the 350Z speedometer pointer has passed the number 220, the TT around me still glides past me calmly. I didn't know until I stopped. Just now, my colleague's time has exceeded 240 kilometers. Alas, safety comes first!
