Photographic mirror

Reflector plate

The reflector is an essential tool in shooting, and it is made of foil paper, white cloth, rice pineapple and other materials. Different surface materials can produce different soft and hard light, and the light reflected by different reflective surface areas has different effects.

Common types

White reflector: The light reflected by the white reflector is very fine. Because of its weak reflective performance, it can keep the details better and make the dark part softer.

Silver reflector: Because the silver reflector is brighter and smoother, it can produce bright light better. When shooting portraits, you can increase the eye light for the model, and the effect on cloudy days will be greatly reduced.

Gold reflector: use gold reflector to fill the light in the sun. Like a silver reflector, it reflects light like a smooth mirror, but in contrast to a cold-tuned silver reflector, it produces light with a warmer hue.

Black reflector: This reflector is different because technically, it is not a reflector. But a "dimming plate" or a "light absorption plate". The black reflector is used to reduce the amount of light by dimming.

Soft light board: it can block and weaken the light between sunlight or light and the object or person being photographed, make the light soft and reduce the contrast. It can be used when the light is strong and you don't want to change the shooting angle and lose the background, or when the light becomes soft to reduce the projection of the subject.
