Terreiro Tory (hereinafter referred to as T): I like it? Urban melody? Because I played all my creativity in it, every photo was handled in a different way. I was actually inspired by a Turkish photographer, Jak Baruh, who created many works by stacking several photos together.

In this group of works, I want to put my style and feelings into it. These photos are like notes in a musical melody. Each photo can be seen separately, but when they are stacked together, the new work has a richer meaning. Judging from the whole group of works, they seem to tell many stories, and they are unique stories. So every work is a part of this melody. This group of works is called this? Urban melody? The reason (of the urban movement).

Impression: Where were these photos taken? Why do you want to express it like this? Urban melody?

T: I try to create by superimposing different photos, and express the scenery and modern life of a city in a concise way, such as Rome, new york, Paris, Berlin and many other cities. This superposition technique allows me to express their beauty in a more conceptual way. I hope the beauty I see is in my photos: in this set of photos, you can see the beauty of traffic jams, the beauty of a damaged building and so on. Every place can be beautiful. I think there is a very incisive sentence: we travel around the world looking for beauty, but we have to walk with it to find it? Although we travel around the world looking for beauty, we must take it with us, otherwise we will not find beauty.

? Impression: You said you were looking for it? The real soul of a place? . what do you think? Urban melody? The real one in the film? Soul? What is this?

T: I think a place is always changing. Every time I look at the same place, it will be different. So I think the soul of a place is its constant change and the spiritual shock brought by this change.

Impression: Street shooting usually records photos of a certain place at a certain moment, but you did it in a very artistic way, and created it by superimposing multiple pictures together. Do you think this group of works is street shooting or art film?

T: I suppose? Urban melody? There are some abstract street shooting works. In fact, I'm not worried that readers will be confused. Because when people look at my photos, they are not studying the elements of street shooting, but appreciating them, or shocking their hearts and giving them some creative inspiration. ?

Impression: Is this the first time you have filmed in this way?

T: Yes, this is the first time to create in this way. However, I have been exploring different creative ways. I like it? Tradition Street shooting, but I'm also looking for something different, so I can have more control and creativity.

Impression: I heard that you have a new book recently?

Yes, I'm filming now. what's up Roman coast to coast? This project. Along the Roman subway, street shooting takes place one stop at a time. I found that although I grew up here, I found many aspects of Rome that I hadn't found before. Tourists are in the center of the ancient city, Chinatown in Rome, student activity area, residential area, etc. All the contents came down in one day. This feeling is wonderful. Everyone lives a very, very different life in a city.

Impression: When you shoot in the street, what do you want to shoot? Do you photograph the scenic spots that tourists are familiar with? Or will you avoid it?

T: What I want to show most is the 65,438+0,000 different faces in Rome. I will try to avoid that kind of travel photos, but I will still take these scenic spots. Because it is undeniable that they are one of the thousands of emotions in this city.

Impression: What do you think street shooting is to you?

T: I like streets very much, because you can find different stories in every corner. But I like street shooting because stories happen all the time, but at that moment, if you choose to walk into another street, if you bow your head and play with your mobile phone, some moments will not be recorded and there will be no photos. Therefore, street shooting sometimes makes me feel that I can be a special existence among all sentient beings.
