What are the true scriptures of Tang Priest?
In screamo temple, the Tang Priest and his disciples visited the Tathagata, and the Tathagata said this, which is very interesting:
"I learned Sanzang today," said the Tathagata. There is a "law" to hide and talk about the sky; There is a collection on land; There is a book "Jing", which is a ghost. * * * Thirty-five, volume fifteen thousand one hundred and forty-four. It is really the way to cultivate truth and the door to goodness. Astronomy, geography, people, birds, animals, flowers, trees, equipment and personnel are all included in four continents. You have to pay for coming all the way, but the people there are stupid and strong, slandering the truth and not knowing the purpose of my shaman. " He shouted, "Ato, Gaya, you two take the four of them to the base of the town building and give him a vegetarian diet first. After fasting, I opened a treasure house and gave him a few copies of each of my three Tibetan scriptures, within 35 copies, and told him to pass on the eastern soil and write down Hong En forever. "
This long article is worth reading again. Let's dig bit by bit. 、
Read the true scriptures, eat the true rice and drink the true water.
First of all, "Sanzang" is the general name of Buddhist classics, which is divided into three parts: Jing, Fa and Lun (monks who are familiar with Sanzang are called Sanzang masters, such as Xuanzang, but there are actually many Sanzang masters in history). This is so weird! Tathagata changed Jing, Fa and Li into Fa, Li and Jing, which was called "Sanzang Zhen Jing" (the eighth time). Is it fake?
Moreover, the word "true sutra" has simply become the mantra of Tang Priest's fasting. The Journey to the West from beginning to end, the most common sentence is:
The poor monk came from the eastern Tang Dynasty and was sent to the Western Heaven to worship Buddha and seek truth.
However, as long as you search Tripitaka, you will know that Buddhism is not used to calling its own classics, especially its name, and has never called Sanzang Sutra or Shurangama Sutra, Diamond Sutra, agama and Dizang Sutra (the authenticity of these classics in Buddhism is beyond the scope of this article). On the contrary, Taoism likes to call its own classics "true classics". For example:
True Moral Classics (Laozi)
South China Zhenjing (Zhuangzi)
Xuan Tong Zhen Jing (Wen Zi)
Xu Chongzhen Mirror (Liezi)
Zhen Jing, the core monument feast of Taiwanese businessman Ling Xuan's life.
The True Classic of "Yuan Zun said that the spirit should be saved by the king"
Mixed Yuan Eight Scenes True Classics
Shang Qing Ming Jian Zhen Jing
The true classic of saving the blood lake by the Buddha in Yuan Dynasty
……
In addition, there are Lingbao Zhen Jing, Basu Zhen Jing, Dadong Zhen Jing and Deep Cave ... Go to the Taoist Temple and grab it. Buddhist scriptures are originally the exclusive symbols of Taoism, and Buddhism basically does not grab them.
Classics are classics. Why add the word "true"? This is like the prevalence of various false rumors on the Internet today, so the shopping website calls itself "official website", the media calls itself "official media", Weibo calls itself "official micro" and micro-signal calls itself "official number" ... It is estimated that after all kinds of media are developed, there will be an "official head" when entering the headline number, and an "official goose" when entering the Penguin. ...
Emperors of all ages like to compile records, which is also the meaning. In fact, recording is recording, so why "recording"? Mr. Qi Gong made this very clear:
People eat and drink real food and water every day. History books call themselves "factual records" for fear that people will doubt it. At the beginning of the "Record" book, the first book, the imperial emblem, was also called "imperial edict" by fools and "wenwu" by children (idiots), which was proved to be untrue from the first line!
Emphasizing that one's classics are "true classics" just shows a sensitive mentality: first, there are more "false classics" than true classics, and second, the true classics themselves are not necessarily true! Afraid that others will see that it is fake, grab the word "true" first to fill in the scene. You must believe that being original is called Li Zhentian Fei, and her gender is a real man. She has two real eyes and a pair of real hands. In real Weibo, real WeChat and real headlines serialize a real journey to the West. ...
Buddhist classics are completely open, and seventy-two stunts of Shaolin can't be read. "Of course, there are many Buddhist apocrypha, but it is easy to take it out dialectically. Even the precepts of becoming a monk and a monk are not popular at home, just talking about it, and you can still see it if you want to. So there is really no need to add the word "true". Taoist scriptures, on the other hand, pay attention to the secret religion, "unless handed down personally", which cannot be verified, so it is impossible to distinguish between true and false. Anyway, everyone said it was true, absolutely true. For example, Ge Hong's "Bao Puzi":
Or some people who have heard of the elixir of life instead of getting it back in this world say that "only the immortals who live in ancient times know." Or have something to say, it can't be true; Or get the chop suey prescription, which means Danfa is doing it here.
In the first year of Tianbao, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty named Laozi, Zhuangzi, Wen Zi and Liezi as real people, and named Laozi, Zhuangzi, Wen Zi and Liezi as "True Classics". It seems that emperors like to seal the "true classics" and compile "real records", which is not contrary! The "True Classics" will firmly follow Taoism!
Taoism and folk beliefs are inseparable, so many "true classics" have been produced. In particular, Buddhist scriptures did not have the word "truth" originally, but after being reformed by folk beliefs, they like to add the word "truth", such as the True Sutra of Tibetan Bodhisattva and the True Sutra of Mahayana, which are the Tibetan scriptures, Five True Sutras and Five True Sutras of the shanzhai, which is suspected to be the logo of Hokkekyo of the shanzhai.
(The True Classics of Taoism)
"Sanzang" in the Shanzhai
Moreover, the original scriptures, laws and works always talk about fundamental teachings, while the law talks about discipline and dignity, and the works clarify the meaning of the scriptures. Here, the Tathagata just said that "the law hides the sky, the earth hides the theory, and the ghost hides", which is also a cottage! The general content turned out to be "astronomy, geography, people, birds and animals, flowers and trees, equipment and personnel in four continents of the world" When did the Tathagata Sanzang stop talking about Buddhism and start Baidu Encyclopedia?
The original "Sanzang" in Buddhism is divided into classics, dharma and reason, which is equivalent to ABC in the alphabet. Anyone who is slightly familiar with Buddhism is familiar with it. Such an important question will be misspelled here, which can only be understood as the situation of the' 62 macaque: the only Buddhist sutra that appeared once in the whole of The Journey to the West is the Taoist "Life-saving Sutra". This is the author's intention!
What's more, the Tathagata also said that Sanzang "is really the way to cultivate truth and the door to goodness." "Zhengshan" is of course like a monk, but that "Xiuzhen" is like a hair! Because generally speaking, "fix the truth" refers to the cultivation of Taoism. Don't talk about the ancients, even today's "fix true novel" is all about inner alchemy and true qi!
This "true cultivation is the door to goodness", as the Tathagata said in the eighth time, this is the second repetition. If you go back to the time when Wu Chao Jackson taught the Heart Sutra, you can also see similar words:
Master Tang at this time is well-founded, and he can remember it as soon as he listens to the "Multiple Hearts Classic" and pass it on from generation to generation. This is the general sutra of fixing the truth and the gate of the Buddhist Association.
Journey to the west believes that the heart sutra is the foundation of all Buddhist sutras. Understanding the Heart Sutra is similar to understanding all Buddhist Sutras. If the "Gate of Buddhism" can correspond to the "Gate of Benevolence and Righteousness", then what does the previous "Dingzhen Zongjing" correspond to? Aren't "making Buddha" and "fixing truth" a pair of concepts corresponding to Buddhism and Taoism?
So I said yesterday that the Tathagata's "Sanzang Zhen Jing" still embodies the concept of the unity of Buddhism and Taoism and the homology of immortals and Buddhists. Sanzang belongs to Buddhism and Zhen Jing belongs to Taoism. "Righteousness and goodness" belong to Buddhism, and "cultivation of truth" belongs to Taoism.
The contents in Shanzhai, such as talking about heaven in Fa, land in Lun and ghosts in Jing, have completely changed Buddhism! Because the gods worshipped in our country are divided into three systems: God, Earth and Ghost! This system certainly doesn't belong to Sam! Moreover, this is really not a patent of Taoism, because as early as in The Book of Shun Dian, Shun Di said:
In April, can you give me three gifts?
Dear ladies, who can take charge of my three gifts? The "Three Rites" here are "the Rites of God, Earth and Ghosts" (Han Ma Rong said), and they are the three rites handed down in China for thousands of years. Let's just say that there is a Temple of Heaven in the south, a Ditan in the north and an ancestral temple in the middle. It is a small county. There are "Thunderstorm Altar", "City God Temple" and "City Ritan" (for offering sacrifices to ghosts), but there are only three systems: God, Earth and Ghost. No matter how many Buddhism, Taoism and folk beliefs are mixed together, the framework of heaven, earth and ghosts remains basically unchanged.
Taoism originated from ancient alchemy, and at the same time, it also assumed some functions of national sacrifice. The gods worshipped by Taoism are also divided into three categories: god, earth and ghost. In addition, what is the function of "astronomy, geography, people, birds, animals, flowers, plants, utensils and people on four continents" in Sanzang Zhen Jing? This is an ancient encyclopedia, and its name is "Lei Shu"! The compilation system of the "Three Monks" in Journey to the West: astronomy, geography, people and other order. It is the same as the ancient book "heaven, earth, people and things", which is also a reflection of Confucianism. It is by no means the source of Buddhism or Taoism.
Therefore, the Tathagata's short speech here has actually exposed the truth of the "True Sutra" that Tang Priest in The Journey to the West tried his best to get: it is not purely preaching Buddhism or Taoism. Just learn a lesson from this story and talk about the unity of the three religions. First, I swaggered in Taoism, and then I dragged Confucianism into it. Laojun and Confucius, two saints, went to the Buddha Mountain yesterday and posted Buddha's birthday cake. Nobody knows who that is!
As for why the three parts of classics, law and theory were changed to law, theory and classics? I'm afraid I didn't have major surgery to dilute my Buddhist color. Because the literal meaning of "law" is too obvious, it can only be understood as "discipline" and must be changed So we might as well use a word "law" instead. Literally, "law" covers the widest scope, which is equivalent to "Tao" (Tao is the body of law, and law is the use of Tao), which can rival heaven; "Jing" is used to read, and it is no problem to read Buddha and ghosts; There is only one "theory" left, so make do with it! (Being original: In this order, it seems that the status of Tao has been secretly promoted. See original lesson 24. )
No words and no bribes.
Second, Ye Jia, the venerable Arnold, took the Tang Priest and his disciples to the Sutra Pavilion, but when he got there, he needed "personnel". There was no "personnel" and I was given a bunch of white notebooks. This is often understood as a satire on Buddhism. In fact, this is understandable.
In fact, the truth should be wordless! Tao Te Ching truly said: "Tao can be Tao, but extraordinary. Famous, very famous. " Language is just the shell of thinking, not thinking itself. Thinking is just the shell of consciousness, not consciousness itself. Consciousness is just ... just, just, just. Ok, don't say more!
Therefore, language can only be used as an auxiliary means to seek truth, and it is by no means the broad road to seek truth, because it is not the ultimate. Seeking truth still lies in inner cultivation and layman's practice. Relying solely on reading books has great limitations. Although being original talks about Journey to the West every day, in fact, I admire Mr. Yan Yuan and Mr. likui jy the most. The so-called:
The spirit of human years is limited. If you recite a moderate day, you will make a mistake in practice. More on paper and ink, less on life experience.
But for people who drill in the paper pile all day, it is a big lion roar, which is divorced from reality and covers up their hearts!
The weakness of language is manifested in many aspects. For example, let's define the word "explanation" in human language: the entry of "Chinese Dictionary" says that "explanation" means "analysis and explanation"; What is "explanation"? The word "explanation" means "explanation and understanding"; What is "explanation"? The word "explanation" means "explanation". Gee, turn around, become an infinite loop, and turn back! Next to the roe is the deer, and next to the deer is the roe, which means nothing.
Therefore, Journey to the West repeatedly said, "After ten thousand volumes, it is only for cultivating the mind." . Of course, we still have to travel 108,000 miles and pass the 81 ST difficulty. Just yesterday, Jinding Daxian said:
You know the cloud road. The holy monk has not yet climbed the cloud road, so he should take this road.
The cloud road is to cultivate the mind, and this road is implemented. The western world is a paradise, which can be reached in a moment; But still have to go step by step, one step at a time. Imagine, a journey to the West, many stories, don't start with the Monkey King and Tang Priest discussing the Heart Sutra, and end with the Monkey King defeating the monster and rescuing Tang Priest? In addition, there is no need to preach Buddhism. To tell the truth, the essence of Buddhist scriptures is much more. If you don't read Leng Yan, you don't know the key to enlightenment. If you don't read Dharma, you don't know the pain of Tathagata; If you don't read Hua Yan, you don't know the richness of Buddhism ... but these professionals who are left to learn Buddhism are not as good as their mind or practice.
So in theory, words are useless. Therefore, the original has been written for the 97th time, and 500,000 or 600,000 words is still equivalent to not writing a word. Of course, there will still be prize-winning questions and answers in the next few days, and there will be affordable things to give away, which is much better than a thousand words!
Therefore, all Zen monks, whether true or noble, like to talk about "no words" and "no words, pointing directly at people's hearts", which is brilliant wisdom. However, although there are no words in the scriptures, not everyone can understand them. For ordinary people, we should still use ordinary people's methods.
Here is an interesting story. The first-hand historical records of Master Xuanzang, The biography of Master Sanzang and the Western Regions of Datang, have such records:
Akro, India has a Tathagata skeleton and a parietal bone. Print the parietal bone with mud, and observe the lines to know good or bad luck. There is also a Tathagata eye, as big as a plum, "bright and clear" (I don't know how it was preserved). There are Tathagata cassock and Zhang Xi. These five exhibits attracted an endless stream of visitors. At first, the guards didn't want to be open, but there were too many people asking to visit. So "I think wealth is the most important thing for people. Li Quanke stopped making noise and began to set up a card to sell tickets: visit Tathagata Dinggu and pay 1 gold coin. Stamp the mud and pay five gold coins. Visit the eyes, cassock, look around, and then pay the gold coins. Master Xuanzang came once and immediately became a VIP member.
This is exactly the same as what happened in various temples today! Although you can see the Buddha by looking at the parietal bone and eyes. Even so, you have to pay the monk! Because there is no way, in fact, it is just an honest practice of Buddhism, a broken bone and an eyeball (bad or fake, how can it really be preserved 1000 years? ) What is there to see? But ordinary people just care about this tangible thing. What is the difference between this and the reader's concern about what is written in the book? Therefore, it is normal for the guardian monk to sell tickets. He needs to hire people to maintain the safety of exhibits and manage the order of visits. Why don't you print it and I'll touch it. It's broken
Besides, when Guanyin Bodhisattva was in Chang 'an, she only said in the Buddhist scriptures, "I am the Buddha of Leiyin Temple in the Western Heaven, and I can solve all grievances and eliminate accidents." At best, it is just an advertisement. From beginning to end, I didn't say anything in vain. Why do we think it must be given for nothing? Will Father Tang Can get it if he leaves? I'm not happy that people want "personnel". What kind of mentality is this? Does it make sense for you to come all this way? Take a blank sheet of paper and go. This attitude of taking for granted is actually quite common. What's the difference between this and asking people to give up their seats on the train and being unhappy if they don't let you? Master Xuanzang in history took a look at the skull of the Buddha and gave him 50 gold coins and 1000 silver coins. He never said, "I came all this way, please give me a free ticket." This is the difference and realm!
Therefore, it is normal and realistic for Ye Jia to ask Tang Priest for "personnel". As long as something is implemented, it must consume manpower and material resources and need to be exchanged to get it. Buddhist scriptures with words don't need paper? Don't you need to print or copy? Don't you need binding? In this way, the cost of a printed sheet is at least three or four cents! If hardcover, there are labor costs; Cloth is rich in hardcover, sewing is more expensive than binding, and it is more expensive to install scrolls in Tang Dynasty. What percentage of the management cost of Lei Yin Temple should be spread, and the images should be hand-painted ... This is still the case that the Buddha doesn't want to pay for the manuscript. According to the current situation of mass printing, the cost of light is tens of thousands. If the number of copies is small or just copied, it will be multiplied several times or even dozens of times. According to Dunhuang documents, about 1 0,000 articles were copied in the Tang Dynasty (according to some papers, they were not carefully read), and 5048 volumes were about 5000 taels of silver. Bodhisattva ran to the lion's mouth in Chang 'an and got only 5,200 grams of Saya. Trade a Zijin alms bowl for it. It is worth a lot of money!
