I don't have much preference for the brand of photographic equipment, which is purely based on the principle of habit and convenience. Camera body

If the budget allows, I still suggest using Quan Huafu DSLR. Although a good camera does not mean a good lens, for newcomers, using a professional camera above a certain level can also give full play to their professional performance. In view of the camera failure in the wedding photography industry, people with budget can prepare a brand-new or medieval camera as a backup machine just in case. And the night before shooting, be sure to check whether the camera works properly again when sorting out the equipment. I am used to using Nikon D700 myself.

camera lens

The wedding process is very fast and cannot be repeated. Maybe you can ask the couple to move slowly (such as wearing a ring and serving tea), but if you change the lens temporarily, you may miss the opportunity to shoot. Therefore, the 24-70mm standard zoom lens for the full-length fuselage is almost more than enough, and it can be attacked and retreated. If some ambient light sources are weak, I will prepare an extra 35mm F 1.4 large aperture fixed-focus lens, which can shoot weak light and create an atmosphere. As for the 85mm large aperture fixed-focus lens, it depends. Usually communicate with new people before shooting.

Outdoor shooting will take 70-200mm, and you can take some close-ups of faces, making use of the compression characteristics of telephoto segments to make the photos more textured. Of course, 70-200mm can also be used to shoot the interaction between guests and newcomers, increasing the richness of photos, without the oppression of photographers in front, and the expressions of characters are more natural.

The author also used a single flashing light from the beginning to the end, which can cope with most places where the light can jump. When the light doesn't jump, it may be that the ceiling is too high, it is made of mirror, or it is colored, and then he begins to realize that a flashing light doesn't seem to meet the demand. The direct lighting effect of the flash lamp is not as bad as expected (a soft light cover can be added), but the light quality is still relatively hard, so he began to learn to use double flash lamps, flashing outside the machine and using lamp holders. At present, the author mainly uses three flashlights, two Nikon SB-900 and one SB-9 10.

It is suggested to use a single flashing light and an external battery pack to speed up the callback. If possible, use low self-discharge rechargeable batteries and avoid using ordinary alkaline batteries (which may lead to slow return or battery leakage). As for whether to add a color filter, people have different opinions. The author once took photos, because the light at the scene was sometimes too unpredictable, so I made post-adjustment.

The author once had the dilemma that the flash was overheated and it was too late to cool down. He asked the guests to wait when taking a group photo. Then, he bought a spare flash, and some flashlights in the same industry burned at the scene, which shows the importance of the spare flash.

If you want to use off-board flash or multi-flash, you need to buy a wireless trigger and receiver, and the lamp holder can also be purchased as appropriate. Of course, sometimes beautiful on-site light sources can add atmosphere without lighting.

Batteries and memory cards

It is best to prepare several batteries for the flash, and at least one more battery for the camera. It is generally recommended to shoot with RAW+JPEG. After all, many situations on site are unpredictable, and the post-production adjustment of RAW files is more flexible.
