First of all, blow

The dust on the lens is best blown clean, not wiped. Because the coating on the surface of many lenses is very delicate, small dust particles will be scattered on the lens surface. If we wipe the lens paper directly, the dust will act as sand on the sandpaper between the paper and the lens film surface, which will easily damage the delicate film surface, especially for the plastic lens of low-end consumer machines. So the correct way is to use a special blower, which is also available in medical equipment stores. The scientific name is ear washing ball. Or go to the photographic equipment city to buy it. It looks a lot, but there are some plastic blowers in the photographic equipment city, which are not very strong. Rubber is very good. Just hold them in the palm of your hand and blow them into the camera.

Second, wipe

Blow off the dust before wiping. Generally, watermarks and stains should be cleaned as soon as possible. For example, saliva or acid-base rain stains slightly erode the membrane, which may damage the membrane surface after a long time. The cleaning method is to take a breath at the lens and wipe it on the lens surface clockwise or counterclockwise with lens paper, instead of rubbing it back and forth. The main points of wiping are: light in, slightly heavy wiping, and then light up as a process, and after wiping a process, you must wipe the paper-changing part. Suede is a good lens wiper, but the quality of artificial suede is different, so don't use it well. If some parts of natural suede become hard, don't use it again, which will easily scratch the lens. At present, the lenses of consumer DC are very small and can not always be wiped with lens paper or suede. It is recommended to use a special lens pen with a brush at one end to brush off large dust. The other end is a self-lubricating suede head, which is small in area, but it works well. It can be well used to wipe off the traces on the small lens, while the traces on the large lens do not need to be wiped on a large area. The only drawback is that the price is expensive, and the cheap price is around 50 yuan, and the good price is around 200 yuan.

Third, wash

If the surface of the lens has a large stain, or the trace remains for a long time, or it is sticky, and simple wiping can't solve the problem, then it is necessary to simply clean the lens. The cleaning method is simple. Find a medical cotton swab, that is, an absorbent cotton ball. There must be a thick cotton ball at one end of the stick to prevent the cotton ball from being too thin and the stick from scratching the lens surface. Dip a cotton ball in a little pure water and squeeze out the water, that is, scrub the stains in one direction for many times in a wet state, dry them with a hair dryer after the stains are removed, and then clean them with lens paper in the way of 2. If you can only wipe with water, don't use alcohol or other cleaning liquid.

Fourth, protection

The above three methods are passive lens protection, and the most effective lens protection is to install a UV mirror for DC, because a UV mirror costs only tens of dollars, forming a relatively closed environment between the UV mirror and the lens surface, which can effectively isolate dust. The above methods can also be used to clean the UV mirror, even if it is damaged, you don't have to feel bad.

Five, dry

Whether it is the DC lens or the electronic part of the fuselage, it is necessary to exclude the humid environment. Therefore, after shooting in rainy days, or after wet washing the lens, it is recommended to dry it and put it in a drying oven. In fact, we made a drying oven ourselves. We can buy a plastic storage box with good sealing and moderate size in the supermarket, collect a little desiccant (in many electronic equipment packages or some small food packages) and put it in the box.
