How to shoot a silhouette
1, find the shooting time.
About 30 minutes before and after sunrise and sunset is the best time to shoot silhouettes. At this time, the light is soft, and the sky is dyed in different colors by rosy clouds, which will capture beautiful silhouette and environment. It should be noted that the illumination angle of the sun must meet the expected shooting effect, so that the camera and the subject can form the best height difference. If the shooting time is too early, the color of the sky is not beautiful enough; If the shooting time is late, the sun will hide behind the subject, and the sky may not be bright enough.
Step 2 choose a good background
The silhouette subject under backlight is usually dark and has no details, so it is easier to highlight the subject by choosing a simple background. If the background elements are complex, it is easy to cause bad overlap with the main body and weaken its expressive force. Photographers can choose relatively empty scenes such as seaside, grassland, lakeside and snow, and shoot with a low-angle back, so that the simple sky becomes the background, avoiding the messy ground environment and making the silhouette more vivid.
3, capture the typical image
Silhouette needs a prominent image, and when shooting, we should look for the angle that highlights the outline and curve of the subject to enhance the visual expression of the picture. When taking a silhouette of a character, the photographer had better choose a part with good curve and obvious outline, such as the outline of the nose and mouth or the outline of body movements. Try to avoid the phenomenon of overlapping characters, too much overlap will lead to visual confusion.
4. Reasonable exposure
When shooting, the photographer should adjust the exposure according to the average brightness of the background, so that the background presents a middle tone and maximizes the details of the bright part. If the shooting effect in aperture priority mode is not good, the photographer may wish to adjust to manual gear and set a smaller aperture range, such as F 1 1- 16 and ISO200. Exposure should follow the principle of "better owe than pass". The easiest way to use manual mode is to refer to the shutter speed and aperture size in automatic mode and make appropriate adjustments based on this.
Silhouette introduction
Silhouette is an interesting and special photography form with unique visual appeal, which combines dramatic effect, mystery and interest, and provides viewers with rich imagination space. Silhouette photos are usually taken against the light. When the background brightness is exposed normally, the main body of the picture will appear black or almost black. Although the details are missing, the outline is outstanding and the theme can be expressed in an infectious way.
The most obvious characteristics of silhouette photos are large contrast, not rich tone levels and slightly single content. At the same time, because its Gao Fancha filters out many complicated elements, the theme is more prominent and has visual tension. Silhouette photos pay more attention to the use of large light ratio and lines. Rhythmic lines can strengthen the visual effect, embody abstract beauty, and pay more attention to mobilizing the viewer's subjective consciousness.
