Film evaluation of walls

This film is a comedy about the life of an educated young couple in the city. The reason for the breakdown of the relationship between husband and wife lies in the man's male chauvinism, which believes that the wife's going out to work is detrimental to her husband's face. There are no bad guys in the whole film, no complaints about society, and finally a relaxed and happy reunion. The actor's performance is exquisite and natural, and the loving old couple played by Dun Lo and Man-lei Wong is in sharp contrast with the young couple.

As a director who was born as a scenery designer, Keng Wang knew that scenery could strengthen and promote the plot, so when her daughter walked through the "wall", her innocent eyes and unspoken childlike words melted her parents' stubbornness because of face problems. The "wall" was set by Wen Wen. The design of the main scene is not clever, focusing on the practical sense of life. Against the backdrop of photographer Sun Lun's gentle and compassionate lens and camera movements, we add another masterpiece about "ordinary" but so different to "Zhonglian".
