Beijing Modern Conservatory of Music (Beijing Modern Conservatory of Music) is short for Beiyin, a private non-academic education institution, so it is not a few institutions, but a non-academic training institution. The College was founded in 1993 and started full-time teaching in 1996. The college consists of pop music research institute, music media research institute and Beijing Modern Music Art Troupe.

The predecessor of Beijing Modern Conservatory of Music was the Beijing Popular Music Training Center, which was founded in April 1993.

Today —— In June, 1996, with the approval of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Modern Music Training Institute was established on the basis of this center. After several years' efforts, the college has developed into a comprehensive art college which mainly cultivates modern pop music talents, as well as national music and serious music talents.
