Why is it called an enthusiast?

The term "audiophile" was first invented by "audiophile" in Hong Kong. In the fifties and sixties, the amplifiers at that time were mainly bold. Because the weather in Hong Kong was hot at that time, and civil air conditioning was not popular, they were always sweating and enjoyed playing with equipment and listening to music. After a long time, they called themselves "enthusiasts", and this title was accepted by everyone. It has become the common name of "audio equipment lovers". It seems that the word "enthusiast" originally meant "audio equipment enthusiast", and later it gradually evolved into a general term for people with special interests in certain things, such as "car enthusiast" and "photography enthusiast".

There should be sports fans, but I feel it needs to be specific, such as basketball fans.
