Why can't oil and water blend?

There are three main reasons:

1, oil is insoluble in water, which is caused by the difference of surface tension. Oil has a small surface tension and water has a large surface tension, so it is immiscible.

The density of oil is less than that of water. At room temperature, the density of water is close to 1.0g/ml, while the density of oil is generally between 0.9 1g/ml-0.93g/ml, so it is immiscible.

3. Oil is an organic matter, and water is an inorganic matter, which cannot be reconciled.
