Foreign photography

It's rare for you to have such ambition, but it's hard.

Due to the high operating costs, few media have branches and reporter stations overseas. As far as I know, only Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, People's Daily and China Daily send reporters abroad. Other media generally use Xinhua news agency manuscripts.

If you want to go abroad, you'd better go to Xinhua News Agency. Xinhua News Agency has more than 100 branches overseas, and it is still expanding. Editors and even logistics personnel can apply to go abroad. As long as they apply, they will usually be sent abroad.

Other media, even if they go in, may not let you out.

You are not advised to study journalism. What is learned in practice and taught in school is useless. Besides, studying journalism has nothing to do with going abroad. Foreign journalists generally study foreign languages, mainly English, which covers a wide range and can go anywhere. However, you need to learn English well and be able to publish articles directly after training.

Secondly, you can learn Arabic, because Arab countries are the most chaotic. But you are a girl, Arab countries discriminate against women very heavily, and it is difficult for female journalists to interview. Or, you can learn a small language, such as Japanese, Thai, Hebrew and Greek, and live in that country, but there will be less room for development.

There is a premise that they need to be graduates of prestigious schools. Generally, this kind of media is mainly recruited on campus, mostly students from Peking University, Tsinghua, Shanghai International Studies University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, People's Congress, Fudan University, Guangyuan University and Nantah University.

If the school or major is not suitable or does not have the conditions to learn a language, you can also try to learn photography. If you are a photographer and have a certain level, you can be a photojournalist. If you are good-looking, you can learn to broadcast, host, direct and make TV.

Be a reporter first, then go abroad. Being a foreign correspondent is a rare experience because of the limited position. If you really like doing news, you must first know how to be a reporter. The stage of domestic reporting is very broad, and the value of works is generally higher than that of international news. For our readers, international news is, after all, a foreign matter, and no matter how big it is, it is not more important than the things around us. Besides, it is hard to do better than others on other people's turf.

In addition to photographers, there are two kinds of personalities that are more suitable for journalists: extroverted and enterprising; Still calm and talented. Need to have certain communication skills, flexibility, can bear hardships (staying up late, working overtime, able to withstand pressure), preferably like writing. The feeling of news is the most important, but it needs to be understood in work.

I practice in the media and explore news in practice. If you can cultivate a sense of news earlier, you should be able to stand out in the job search.

If you became a journalist in China, if you were still interested in going out then, you would definitely have a chance.
