Arthur Wong won the 19 photography award, won the best director award of the Hong Kong Film Awards six times for his films "Song Dynasty", "The City that Never Sleeps" and "Purple Rain Storm" won the best photography award of the Taiwan Golden Horse Award with 1999. He won the Hong Kong Academy Award for Best Photography for "The Painted Skin". He also collaborated with many famous directors, including John Woo, Lin Lingdong, Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Yuan Heping, Xu Anhua, Clara Law and Tsui Hark.
