Polarizer and purple edge

The purple edge of digital camera refers to the phenomenon that color spots appear at the junction of high light and low light in the shooting process of digital camera, which is the purple (or other colors) of digital camera. The causes of purple edge are related to the dispersion of camera lens, the small imaging area of ccd (high density of imaging unit) and the signal processing algorithm inside the camera.

Therefore, it is incorrect to say that polarizer can reduce purple edge phenomenon.

The way to reduce purple edge is not to push the limit, and the aperture with the best imaging quality is not the maximum aperture. There is purple edge, which can only be handled by software in the later stage.
