Silhouette photo shooting skills

Silhouette photo shooting skills are as follows:

First, the scene selection

In order to take a good silhouette photo, the choice of scene is very important. Generally speaking, the selected scenario needs to meet the following conditions.

(1) must be in the backlight environment, can not have reflective objects in front of the subject. If there is a reflective object in front of the subject, it will reflect the light to the subject, thus destroying the outline.

② The angle between the light and the ground should be as small as possible. If the angle between the light and the ground is too large, the suggested effect is not obvious or the outline edge is not clear.

③ There should be no shielding between the subject and the light source. If you have an occluded object, then the silhouette photo you take is the silhouette photo of the occluded object, not the silhouette of the subject. If it is really unavoidable, then take a backhand to reduce the angle of occlusion.

④ The best time to shoot silhouette is early morning and dusk, when the light is soft and the angle is low, and there is no reflected light and stray light. Take a silhouette. Let's go outdoors and find an open place, so that we have a better chance of taking beautiful silhouette photos.

Second, composition

There are two points to pay attention to in silhouette photography composition. First, try to choose a lower position to shoot, that is, shoot backwards or horizontally. Because shooting up or down can lower the horizon and take more pictures of the sky as the background of the picture. In addition, when taking a portrait silhouette, leaning back can also lengthen the lines of the portrait and make the model look taller.

Second, pay attention to blank space, that is, don't let your subject occupy the picture too slowly, and try to leave some space for the bright background, because there is a large area of black in the picture, and the picture will be ugly.

Third, shooting skills

This step is the most important and technical test. First you have to choose a shooting mode. I usually use aperture priority mode (AV file). After choosing the shooting mode, I will do the following.

① Sensitivity setting: The background of silhouette photography is bright, and the subject is completely black, so there is no need to increase the sensitivity to increase the amount of light. On the contrary, it is necessary to reduce the sensitivity to ensure the image quality.

② Aperture setting: If the silhouette photo you want is clearer, you should set a smaller aperture, such as f/8, f/ 10 and so on. If the silhouette photo you want has a star-studded effect, then you have to turn down the aperture a little, so as to take a star-studded effect.
