Wang Bo's life

Wang Bo, formerly known as Wang Tianzhong, 1964, was born in ganquan town, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. 198 1 graduated from junior high school, dropped out of school because of poverty and went home to work in agriculture. 1994 graduated from China Correspondence University. Since 1990, I have started to shoot documentaries at my own expense and interview poor children. Since 1997, I have held "Love in Action" for many times in universities and other units all over the country-sponsored photography exhibitions for poor children in the west. A documentary photographer, who walked on foot to shoot ten raindrops in the west, persisted for 16 years and took tens of thousands of photos of poor out-of-school children in the west at his own expense. Wang Bo obtained first-hand information through his own personal visits and on-the-spot shooting, and held film screenings at his own expense in various provinces, cities and universities to find sponsors for these poor children.

Since the end of June 2005, Wang Bo has interviewed and photographed thousands of substitute teachers in Gansu, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Tibet, Sichuan and Ningxia. In May, June and August this year, film screenings were held in more than ten universities in Beijing, the Capital Library and Guangzhou, and they were signed on the spot in the Capital Library. The film festival has been held for 24 times. Through this "one-on-one" form of assistance,12,860 poor children have been helped by well-intentioned people in society, ensuring that these children who have dropped out of school or are about to drop out of school can continue their studies. He also cooperated with the Love Society of Peking University, and released this voluntary charity activity "Love Wang Bo Plan" in the form of network-assistance to poor children in the west, so as to get the attention, support and supervision of the general public.

On March 6th, 20 12, the Chinese channel of Hong Kong Phoenix Satellite TV broadcasted an interview with Wang Bo in Cold Life, which made Wang Bo and the people in the story more known. In the program, Wang Bo revealed that he had put down his camera twice and ended his trip for various reasons, but in the end he couldn't forgive himself and settle down to live a normal life. Instead, I picked up the camera for the third time and continued to photograph the current situation of children in poverty-stricken areas in the west. Picking up the camera for the third time, Wang Bo paid more attention to the substitute teachers in the poverty-stricken areas in the west, in order to get more attention, not to himself, but to the education in the poverty-stricken mountainous areas in the west, hoping that more caring people would help the out-of-school children in these areas. At the same time, the program "Cold Life" also revealed at the end that due to the shortage of human and material resources, Wang Bo's love website has gradually become untenable!
