How to use the exposure meter?
When the incident device is selected, the incident symbol will blink for three seconds, as well as when the reflective (spot metering) device is selected.
Note: Before measurement, the required measurement state must be determined, and the state must be locked by LCD.
* Set the measurement state mode
Press the state setting key and rotate the setting knob at the same time to select the desired theme state. Such as a list.
The dotted line mode can only be selected when each DIP switch is in the "ON" state.
* Set the DIP switch: the unused DIP switch is hidden in the battery box.
* Before starting the measurement, set the state of common settings.
1. Turn the switch 1 to ON, and the shutter will be in half gear.
2. Turn switch 2 to ON aperture priority mode, and natural light will be set.
3. Turn the switch 3 to the exposure value (EV) mode, and the natural light will be set.
4. Turn the switch 4 to the multi-function flash accumulation mode.
* Set the incident light
Use LUMISPHERE or LUMISPHERE (light bulb) to set the incident light. Turn the switch hard and place the LUMISPHERE device up or down until noise is heard.
When LUMISPHERE is up, it is suitable for shooting three-dimensional objects such as people and buildings.
When LUMISPHERE is down, (astigmatism device without depth of field) is suitable for taking photos of manuscripts, paintings or other monochrome copies. It can also be used for brightness contrast measurement (P20) or brightness level (P22) or different brightness (P20) (setting reflected light (spot metering).
This kind of photometry is realized by reflecting the brightness of the object surface. You can use this setting to measure distant targets, such as scenery, when you can't get close to the subject or highly reflective or translucent objects.
Browse the photometric eyepiece from your camera position. Turn the lens to set the metering area (1-4 degrees).
When measuring light, the target range of the measured object is aimed at the circle in the viewfinder.
* Natural light measurement
In this setting, you can select shutter priority, aperture priority and EV value status. Press the key 5MODE and rotate the keyboard to set the natural light measurement mode.
* shutter prerequisite
Press MODE and rotate the keyboard to select the required function of T shutter.
Turn the keyboard to set the shutter time.
When measuring light, press and release the measuring key, and the aperture value will be set. When the measurement key is pressed continuously, the exposure meter will continue to measure until the measurement key is released.
* Reference
Shutter settings can range from 30 minutes to 1/8000 seconds, or you can set settings such as 1/250 and 1/400 seconds.
When "E.U." or "E.O." appears, the combination of shutter and aperture will not be able to measure the light level. At this time, turn the keyboard to reset the combination of shutter and aperture. If the exposure "E.U." and "E.O." keep flashing, it means that the light level is beyond the allowable measurement range.
* Aperture prerequisite
Open the battery cover, turn the F key to ON, press the MODE key and rotate the keyboard to select the aperture prerequisite mode. When metering, press the measuring key, and releasing the measuring key will set the shutter. You can measure from F 1.0 to F 128 (divided into110 files).
* Even if you have measured the composite value, you can still change the aperture value by rotating the keyboard to reset the measured value (shutter value).
* exposure value EV mode
Open the battery cover and switch the DIP3 key to ON, press the MODE key and rotate the keyboard to EV mode, press and release the metering key, and the EV value will be set. At the same time, the LCD display area will display the set shutter speed and set the corresponding aperture value and EV value. When the metering key is pressed, the exposure meter will continue to run until the key 5 is released.
Photometric determination of flash lamp
Flash online metering: connect the flash synchronization terminal in the exposure instrument with the flash synchronization terminal, press the MODE key, rotate the keyboard, and select the flash online synchronization metering mode.
To select the shutter speed by rotating the keyboard, you must check whether the set speed is consistent with the camera speed setting. Press the measurement key to start flashing, and the photometric value (aperture) (ISO 100 will be displayed. . . . )
* Warning
If the exposure meter is used in a bad environment (rain, humidity, etc.). ), which may harm the instrument?
* Automatic induction flash metering MODE: press the mode key, rotate the keyboard, and set the induction flash metering mode. Press the measure key, the mode symbol will flash all the time, and the exposure meter will enter the photometric state for 90 seconds. If it exceeds 90 seconds, or it is prompted to stop flashing, you need to press the measurement key again, and the exposure meter will enter the photometric state again. When you turn on the flash, you will receive the light and display the aperture value.
* Reference
Setting shutter speed is the same as online synchronous photometry.
Multifunctional online synchronous flash memory accumulation mode
Multifunctional induction synchronous flash accumulation mode
* Advanced features
* Memory function
The exposure meter can store the measured values of various measurement modes.
This function can be used in the following modes: real-time light (shutter prerequisite only), exposure value and flash (wired or inductive).
Press the measure key to measure: press the store key 14 to store the measured value in the memory, and the LCD will display the measured value stored in the memory. Repeat this operation and store the value up to three times. Press the memory clear button or change the measurement mode to clear the memory.
* average function
* Distinguish brightness function
This function is used to estimate the lighting of the studio (photo studio) and detect the uniformity of light by setting the range of the target (object). Taking the measured value at a certain point as the standard value, the difference between the standard value and the new measured value will be displayed in the combined scale of EV value and shutter aperture.
* The following is an example of adjusting the light ratio by using the shutter premise mode: set the metering ball to a lower position. Turn off the sub-lamp, aim the light measuring ball at the main light source from the position of the subject to measure, press the memory key to save the measured value, press the average key to set the symbol A on the screen, turn off the main lamp, aim the light measuring ball at the sub-lamp, and when the measure key is pressed, the comparison between the exposure combination of the main light and the sub-light and the EV value will be displayed in the column of EV value and memory comparison.
* Ratio reference table
Press the average /EV key, and the light ratio mode will be cancelled. With the adjustment of light, determine the exposure value, turn on the primary and secondary lights at the same time, adjust the metering ball to the "up" position, and then measure along the camera lens.
* How to use the stone light L-508 exposure meter to measure the incident light?
Turn the upper and lower circles of the metering ball to the "down" position: ensure that the correction value+/-(see P24) has been cancelled, adjust the exposure meter to EV mode and ISO 100, and balance the exposure meter with the subject for metering.
Adjust according to conversion table or calculation formula? So as to determine the light brightness level (table below)
* How to measure with incident light?
Confirm that the correction value+/-(see P24) has been cancelled: set the exposure meter to EV mode and ISO 100, set the reading point of the instrument ring, select the angle that is most suitable for your target, browse the viewfinder and make it consistent with the target, so that the measured target is within the inner circumference.
The method of changing the EV value according to the conversion table or calculation formula, so as to determine the brightness (unit cd/m2).
How to switch and use the exposure compensation function
In the range of +/- 9.9 EV, exposure compensation can be used to meet special requirements, and the accuracy is f110. It is also suitable for exposure compensation through filters. Positive correction will lead to underexposure when shooting. Press ISO and ISO2 keys at the same time, and turn the keyboard counterclockwise, the+/-sign will be displayed on the LCD, and the exposure compensation value will change within 0.1-9.9 ev, otherwise, the exposure compensation value will change within -0. 1-9.9 EV, which will lead to overexposure.
* Attention
In actual shooting, first test the most effective value, and then make compensation and correction, which fully meets your requirements.
Exposure compensation is valid for any mode in the exposure meter. Don't forget to restore it to the default zero setting after use unless there is a special need.
