What does "NG" mean in filming?

NG (bad) is a common phrase in film shooting, which means that the picture is not good. The actor's mistakes or jokes in the shooting process or the failure to shoot the best shot show that the shot can't meet the director's requirements. Some movies also use it as the end of the film to attract the audience and let everyone know the unknown side of the shooting process (that is, tidbits).

NG will cause economic and time losses to the crew, and a large number of waste lenses will greatly increase the cost of post-printing.

Compared with NG, OK is a picture that can be used when shooting, and there is no problem. NG and OK are recorded on the field sheet, providing data and materials for later editing, dubbing and light distribution.

The role of exhibition board in expanding information film shooting

When shooting a movie, you should shoot it with a black and white board before each scene begins. This board is called a "recording board", on which information such as the number of times, the number of scenes, the director, the title of the film, the film company and so on are written.

When making a movie, the picture and sound are recorded on different media (the previous picture is film and the sound is tape). In the later stage of editing, it is necessary to synchronize sound and picture. If there is no reference, the work will be very difficult. When the slate is closed, the sound is very crisp, and the clear and obvious waveform can be seen on the audio track. At the same time, it is not difficult to find the border when the slate has just closed the screen.

By matching the two, music and pictures can be synchronized. In addition, when making a movie, it is not taken in the order of the script, and the material is often chaotic. When playing the board, the recorder should also tell the corresponding information of the next time, and the photographer and the recorder should record the information of the next time at the same time, which is also for the later synchronization of sound and picture.
