Introduction to Dong Zhe

Dong Zhe, formerly known as Xingyi. Photographer. A native of Beipiao, Fengtian (now Liaoning). Joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1948. Joined the Communist Party of China in 1956. He has successively served as a photojournalist and photography-level deputy team leader for the "Forward News" of the Political Department of the Northeast Military Region, deputy section chief of the Propaganda Department of the Political Department of the Shenyang Military Region, a creative member of the literary and artistic creation team, and vice chairman of the Liaoning Branch of the Chinese Photographers Association. His works include "Model Nurse Li Landing", "Lei Feng Remembers the Suffering", "New Year's Eve after the Earthquake", etc. The artistic photography "Snowy Border" won the Cultural Center Award in the 7th Asian Photography Competition and the Cultural Center Award in the Oceania Photography Competition in 1982.
