Ma Chucheng changed from an advertising photographer to a film photographer, and then became a director, showing his creative ideas to the audience.

Ma Chucheng has been a photographer for more than 40 films, including Favorite, Love in a Foreign Land, Yoshiko Kawashima, Sweet Honey and city of glass, among which 1990' s Love in a Foreign Land, Yoshiko Kawashima and 1998' s Most Satisfied Before Directing. After officially becoming a director, there are temporarily five films, including Phantom Attack, Star Wish, Tokyo Raiders, Summer Tea and Kowloon Ice Room. Director Ma said that all four films need to be improved. If he wants to choose a satisfactory one, he will choose summer tea. Compared with the other three films, Ma Chucheng thinks Summer Tea.
