There is no special change in the appearance of the modern IONIQ taxi model, and of course it has not been simplified because it is a taxi version, basically retaining the appearance of the pure electric version of IONIQ. But even so, this car still has a high degree of recognition on the street. As a taxi, this taxi also wants to be a beautiful street scene in the city.
IONIQ's hybrid models are very different in appearance from electric vehicles. The hybrid model still retains the front grille, while the electric model directly adopts the closed middle net, which is highly recognizable in appearance and can be seen at a glance as a pure electric model. Although the car does not have an air intake grille in the traditional sense, it is still painted in a different color from the outline of the net in the hybrid model. "China Net" is coated with dark gray and matte plastic. However, the cancellation of the design of the middle net makes the front of the car feel less textured than the real air intake grille, especially the dark gray plastic cover, which makes the car feel very cheap.
IONIQ electric version and hybrid version are also different on the wheel hub. Different from the hybrid version, the electric version, as a new energy vehicle, emphasizes the sense of future and technology, and makes some compromises for a longer cruising range. The electric version uses five stripes and two-color painted wheels. In order to emphasize the identity of the electric car, the design has a sense of science and technology. The wheel hub size is not big, only 15 inch, and the tire size is 205/55? R 15. Although the size is small, the thicker side wall can ensure the ride comfort of the taxi, and at the same time, it can get a longer cruising range than the models with large wheels and thin side walls.
Much like the Prius, IONIQ's body side also features a hatchback and a raised rear. When the second generation Prius first adopted this design in 2002, it really gave people a strange feeling, but today, more than ten years later, this design has been gradually accepted. However, when I first saw the side of the car, I would still associate it with the Toyota Prius, and of course I would immediately think that it was a new energy vehicle. According to the official data of modern designers, the drag coefficient of the car reached 0.24.
As a taxi, this car is not equipped with chrome trim strips, and everything is very practical. There is a dark gray plastic rubbing strip under the door. Although it is still made of plastic, it does not have the low-end feeling of ordinary black plastic rubbing strips.
The car has been painted for Macao taxis, and the design of black body and milky white roof is the same as that of Macao taxis now, but the unique shape of the car can still be very unique in a bunch of Camry Corolla and other models.
As a taxi, practicality is paramount.
Although IONIQ has made many unique designs in appearance to emphasize its identity as a new energy vehicle, the interior of the car is extremely moderate, returning to the practical supremacy of modern models.
The car is equipped with an LCD screen between two air-conditioning outlets, which is small in size and surrounded by a circle of borders. It doesn't look very harmonious. According to the judgment, it should be installed by the agent in the later stage, including the control of navigation and sound system. The instrument has been installed above the center console, and the wiring has not affected the beauty and cleanliness of the car. In interior materials, the center console of this car is made of hard plastic and has a checkered surface. Although it has lost the luxury brought by this level of soft material, as a taxi, the dirt resistance and easy cleaning of the center console are more worthy of attention.
The car adopts push-button gear, and the hybrid version adopts ordinary gear, which highlights the new energy identity of the electric version and makes this differentiated design. There is also a leather hand pillow behind the shift button, but the design of button automatic shift makes it unnecessary to switch the shift button frequently during driving, so this design aims to improve the quality of the car.
The real shot model is a low-profile version, and only the driving mode switch is reserved after the gear. auto? Hold and electronic handbrake buttons, high-profile models can also control seat heating and ventilation here, as well as the switch of the front parking radar. The car also has two open cup holders and storage compartments. The capacity of the central armrest is acceptable and the position is comfortable.
The car is equipped with the characteristics of taxi models, which can control the opening and closing of the back door of the co-pilot side through the pull rod next to the front driver's seat, or directly close the back door through the pull rod. After testing, it is not found that the door can be closed normally after using the pull rod, and there is no loose closure.
When I came to the back row, the design of the car door panel was extremely simple. The door panel is made of a large area of hard plastic, not wrapped with soft material, which makes it feel bad. However, this is not because this car is a taxi version. On the high-end models of IONIQ, the door panel is still a large area of hard plastic. As a compact car, such materials do not meet the positioning of the car.
There is a power window controller and a speaker on the door. There is also a seat heating function on the high-profile models, which can be controlled on the door panel. The weight of the door is very low, so it doesn't take much effort to close it, but in other words, the doors of the car lack texture, and some of them are too thin.
The car adopts PVC leather seat, which is more resistant to dirt and easier to clean. Although the ride experience is not as good as leather, the comfort is still good. The three independent headrests in the back row can be adjusted independently, not simply because they are taxis.
Modern IONIQ has plenty of space in the back row, with more than two fists in the back leg space. As a taxi model, this space basically meets the ride demand.
IONIQ's low-profile model is not equipped with rear air conditioning air outlet, and the commercial model is completely blank on the back of the central armrest. This taxi model has added a taxi service evaluation button at this position for passengers to evaluate the taxi driver's service. The roof design of the car is extremely simple, with only one solitary reading lamp. As a compact car, the design is a bit too simple, lacking the sense of class that this class car should have.
Conclusion: It is not easy to become a street view.
At present, Toyota's eighth generation Camry hybrid version is the main model of taxis in Macao, while the seventh generation Camry hybrid version still has a high number of taxis in Macao. At present, there are only two pure electric vehicles, BYD E6 and Nissan Leaf.
This pure electric version of modern IONIQ is equipped with a 1 19 horsepower motor with a top speed of150km/h/h. The pure electric version will also be equipped with a 28kWh battery pack made by LG and placed under the back seat. According to the official test, the maximum cruising range of the car is 169 km. This data is not excellent for a pure electric vehicle, but considering Macao's small area, it can last for one day. At present, there is no plan to push electric taxis in Macau, mainly hybrid models of Toyota Camry, and even many pure fuel versions of mazda 6 and cx-3 have been added, which can reflect that the industry's enthusiasm for pure electric taxis is not high at present. In addition, although Macao has a small land area, the density of charging piles is not high, which is unfriendly to electric vehicles. For the taxi industry where time is money, this has become a huge obstacle to the popularization of pure electric taxis. Without special preferential policies, it is not easy for this IONIQ to compete head-on with the durable and economical Camry, but the first step must always be taken bravely. Perhaps in the future, IONIQ may become a street view of the city.
