The Human Geography of Huashi Town

Huashi Town is located in the southwest of Xiangtan County, bounded by Cha 'en Temple in the south, Shebu in the north, Zijingshan in the east and Paitou in the west, with the lowest elevation of 50.40 meters and the highest elevation of 425.70 meters. The total area is 13340 hectares, and the urban area is 360 hectares, including 2750 hectares of paddy fields, 74 hectares of dry land, 7357 hectares of woodland and 0/19 hectares of water surface. It has jurisdiction over 3 districts, 3 1 village, 2 neighborhood committees, 564 villagers' groups, 14 165 households and 5,4941person. Huashi is a famous historical city and a thousand-year-old town. In the Western Han Dynasty, due to its outstanding geographical position and rich history and culture, it was once the seat of Xiangnan County. Known as "Little Nanjing" because of its rich businessmen and prosperous market, it is the economic center of Xiangtan City. "Hancheng Bridge" at the foot of Luohan Mountain in Zhendong 1.5km was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty and has been well preserved so far, and is listed as a county-level protected cultural relic in Xiangtan. The flower market is not only the material handling hub at the junction of Xiangtan, Hengshan and Xiangxiang, but also the largest market and trade distribution center in the south of Xiangtan County, especially the Xianglian industry, which has become the largest production base and lotus seed trade distribution center in China, and is truly the "hometown of Xianglian".

There are 10 primary schools, including a vocational secondary school, a town middle school and a central primary school, 1 town cultural stations and radio and television stations, 27 village-level cultural activity centers, 30 libraries of various types, 37,800 books, 17 amateur creative teams in music, art, calligraphy, photography and literature, with Huashi Town, located in the south of Xiangtan, adjacent to Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, is located in Juanshui, a tributary of Xiangjiang River, with developed transportation and superior location. 2.5 hours drive from Changsha, the provincial capital (non-expressway). Tan Hua Highway runs through the north and south of the town, 5 hours away from Xiangtan City 1.5, and only over 2 hours away from Zhuzhou and Hengyang. Shaocha Highway runs through it from east to west. The town is 5 kilometers away from the toll station of Huashi Huilongqiao on Lin Yue Expressway, and another Ninghua (Ningxiang-Huashi) expressway is planned.

The county bus runs to Xiangtan city and Xiangtan county,/kloc-every 0/5 minutes. There are two buses to Changsha South Bus Station, Zhuzhou Railway Station and Hengyang West Railway Station every day, and several buses to Shaoyang, Shuangfeng and Yueyang. Runtang 314121.6192.4 Huashi is located in the southwest of the county seat, 50 kilometers away from the county seat and about 30 kilometers away from Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. It is named after the legend that the boulder in the water has patterns. County administration in southern Hunan during Qin and Han Dynasties. There are many scenic spots in the scenic area, including Seoul Bridge and Guanzheng Bridge built in Qing Dynasty. Legend has it that in ancient times, 18 Luohan turned into a rocky mountain, and the town of Yongzheng was flooded with demons. Because these mountains look like arhats, they are named arhats. Rocky Mountain is reddish brown and dark brown, and "Lohan" is lifelike, with different postures and lifelike.

There is Huashi Reservoir in the scenic spot, which was built in August. 1959. It is the largest medium-sized reservoir in Xiangtan county, which is responsible for flood control and irrigation, and has many comprehensive utilization functions such as power generation and fish farming. The water surface area of the reservoir is 4.86km & 2;; Sup2 reservoir is surrounded by lush green hills, echoing Nanyue, and the water quality is good. There is an island where farmers live in the reservoir. Seen from the dam, the waterway is wide and narrow, which has both the smoothness of hitting the water in the middle stream and the exquisiteness of winding paths. There are Coral Island (named after its coral shape), Titanic Island (named after the Titanic sank like a giant ship) and Zimuzhou (named after two highlands, one big and one small, protruding from the lake like mother and son) in the reservoir. Every year 10 to March of the following year, more than ten kinds of migratory birds such as egrets, black herons and swans rest and play here.

Huashi Reservoir is a hilly area, which is the residual vein of Amethyst Mountain, the 72nd peak of tianmashan and Nanyue. It is accompanied by the world-famous "Eighteen Arhats Mountain" in the flower market, facing the plain around the flower market, which is famous for its rich Xianglian. Adjacent to the flower market Xianglian market, connected with a trickle, the scenery is beautiful and pleasant. It is a treasure trove of geomantic omen suitable for leisure and entertainment. Huashi Reservoir has been developed into a number of water and island tourism projects.
