The Legend of Wu Mei Niang was filmed for 8 months, the first 4 months were basically filmed in Wuxi, Jiangsu, and the last 4 months were all filmed in Hengdian, Dongyang, until the final shooting. Shooting in Wuxi is mainly concentrated in the studio (Wuxi Hualaiwu) in Wuxi National Digital Film Industry Park, with more interior scenes, while shooting in Wuxi Film and Television Base (San'guo City, Tang Cheng), Meiyuan, Yuantouzhu and other scenic spots sporadically. In The Legend of Wu Mei Niang, the magnificent Tai Chi Palace of Datang Palace was shot in Qin Gong Scenic Area of Hengdian Film and Television City, Zhejiang Province, which means that the most important court scene of the play was completed in Qin Gong. In addition, the drama also filmed exterior scenes in Xiaozhulin Scenic Area of Dongyang City and Waishan Area of Hengdian Ancient Dwellings.
