I went to Shanghai once years ago, and what impressed me the most was that there were many people and cars. In this bustling city, for a tourist, there seems to be nothing worth remembering except shopping in the mall. Even the Oriental Pearl, a landmark building on the Bund, can't excite me at all. I have always liked the natural scenery, between mountains and rivers, refreshing and returning to nature. Or go to a scenic spot with a heritage. Thousands or hundreds of years of time and culture can always make people feel the vicissitudes left by the years.

Some time ago, I was on a business trip and passed through Shanghai. I don't want to stay here. Later, because of a teacher's sincere invitation, I decided to accompany her to visit my old friend in Songjiang.

Songjiang, known as Huating in ancient times, is a famous land of fish and rice in the south of the Yangtze River. Now it is a district of Shanghai, about 40 kilometers away from Shanghai, and it is an important gateway to the southwest of Shanghai.

Arriving at dusk, leaving the railway station, the city I saw was even more shabby than I expected. Maybe I have experienced too many beautiful scenery along the way, and I am tired of the journey, and I don't have much enthusiasm for this small city.

My friend lives in a community in the new city, and it is simply two worlds from the old city next to the railway station. It turns out that Songjiang is developing a new city, and the framework of the whole city has basically been built.

The host is very enthusiastic. After he settled down, he showed us around. Strolling on the quiet avenue, the trees in the green belts on both sides are scattered. Different architectural styles, mostly villas, are two different styles from the high-rise buildings in Shanghai. Because it is a new city, few people live in it, and there is no noise of the city at all, so everything looks so neat and peaceful. Chatting with the host for a walk, I don't know how long it took, but I completely forgot my fatigue. The green area here is very large, and the whole city is built in a forest park. The mountains, water, trees and grass are in harmony with the high-rise buildings and have a unique flavor. I heard from friends that the design here is a national first-class designer. Time passed before you knew it, and the night was getting deeper. I thought I had plans for tomorrow, so I had to go home.

On the third day of the trip, under the careful arrangement of the host, we first took a taxi to visit Songjiang University Town. The University Town is located in the northwest corner of Songjiang New Town and consists of many universities. It covers an area of 4,600 mu, with a total investment of more than 2 billion yuan and a student scale of 40,000. There have long been university towns abroad, such as Oxford University Town and Cambridge University Town in Britain, Harvard University Town and MIT University Town in the United States, and Tsukuba University Town in Japan. In China, this is a brand-new mode of running a school.

Due to time constraints, I can't take a closer look. I don't remember the specific school, but I was impressed. There is no "fence" in the school, but only green belts or rivers are used to divide the sideline, which not only makes people feel a kind of harmony between schools, but also reflects that various resources in the university town can be shared. I was surprised at that time, how could so many universities settle here? Later, it was said that in order to achieve the goals of "land for highland, land for space and land for development", the local government provided 3,600 mu of campus construction land and 1 1,000 mu of low-cost land for the construction of college students' village. I see, "plant a plane tree and wait for the phoenix to come"!

I took a taxi around and came to the destination of this trip-Thames Town. This small town was designed by European designers and copied the style of English rural architecture. Strolling through it is like being in a fairy tale world. The scene I saw in Europe in the media before was unexpected. Each villa, which is only four stories high, has different styles, and no two villas are the same. Every detail is so exquisite, even the flowers and plants in front of and behind the house are designed so naturally, which is much more interesting than the stereotyped pattern of most China buildings!

The town has complete facilities, including schools, shopping malls and churches. In addition to buildings, some leisure spaces such as bridges and lakes are also properly decorated, which makes you feel more like a tourist attraction than a residential area.

Not long after the town was built, although there were no residents, tourists came in an endless stream, strolling on the ground paved with bluestone slabs or other materials in twos and threes, stamping their feet leisurely and enjoying the exotic customs. The storefront is deserted, but one business is particularly hot-wedding photography. I think smart bosses value these free resources. On the way, I met several couples who took wedding photos, posing in various sweet poses, and realizing their dreams like princes and princesses in this fantasy kingdom.

I feel a little tired after walking for a long time. I walked into a western-style fast food restaurant to rest and fill my stomach. It was past noon when I came out, but it was raining outside. Walking in this rainy alley, my heart was intoxicated. The quiet and elegant town looks more pure under the infiltration of rain, which seems to reveal a touch of sadness. I can't help but think of the poem "Walking alone in a long, long, lonely rain lane with an oil-paper umbrella, hoping to meet a girl who is as sad as cloves ..."

At this moment, I feel very lucky to come to Songjiang and enjoy such beautiful scenery. I'm so glad you came. In a person's life, many beautiful things often appear inadvertently, and there is no need to force them deliberately. Life is a journey, what matters is not the destination, but the people who accompany you to see the scenery and the mood of seeing the scenery along the way! Although I am just a passer-by, I can leave footprints here and take away good memories. What can I ask?
