The course of Hubei Photographers Association

1960 10, Wuhan branch of China Photography Society was formally established. Comrade Liu Jian was elected as the president, Comrade Zhao, Comrade Yang as the vice president, and Comrade Shu was responsible for the daily work of the branch. The membership has increased to more than 30 people. Started organizing photography art activities in Wuhan area. 196 1 At the end of the year, Wuhan Branch of China Photography Society held a member congress, and elected Zhao as the chairman, Yang and Wang Changgen as the vice chairmen, and served as the secretary-general to preside over the daily work for the resident. At this time, the membership grew to more than 1 10, and a mass photography creation situation began to take shape.

During this period, while actively organizing photography creation activities, the society established some photography theory research groups in various places through directors. Grasp popularization on the one hand and improvement on the other. Various photography exhibitions were held in Wuhan, Huangshi, Yichang and other cities in Hubei Province, and a number of outstanding works were selected and won prizes in the national photography exhibition. Cui Huaide's Forced Opening of Umbrella won the first prize of national sports photography, and Huang Keqin's Celebrating Harvest was selected for the 196 1 Hungarian International Photography Exhibition. 1963 founded photographic reference materials in March, and published some technical and review articles. A team of photography theory with Yang, Mei Cun, Ding Zunxin and Yu as the backbone has been initially formed. After the downfall of the Gang of Four, the Society resumed its photography publication 1977 in March and renamed it Photography Newsletter. In April of the same year, Hubei photography held a working meeting in Kunming, criticizing the anecdotes during the Cultural Revolution, tracing back to the source, and putting photography back on the track of healthy development. In July, the Society held its third member congress. The Society officially changed its name to Hubei Branch of China Photographers Association, and elected Comrade Zhao as the president, Comrade Huang Keqin as the vice president and Comrade Huang Keqin as the deputy secretary-general to be responsible for the daily work of the Society. Zhang Guodong and Li Futang are resident cadres. From 65438 to 0984, Yan Zhixiang officially transferred to the association. The membership has increased to 324. Hubei photography ushered in the second spring. Photography creation is in full swing everywhere, theoretical research is blue, photographic achievements are colorful, and young and middle-aged photographers emerge one after another.

1979 10, Comrade Song Huajiu's "Growing taller again" won the second prize of UNESCO's "Asian Photography Competition".

1981July, the urchin in the mountain village filmed by Comrade Yan Zhixiang won the "Asian Cultural Center Award" in the Asia-Pacific Photography Competition of UNESCO.

1982165438+10. In October, "After the Expo" filmed by Comrade Qin won the gold medal in the National Youth Photography Art Exhibition.

1984 10, in the 13th National Photography Art Exhibition, Comrade Zhang Anli won the silver award and Comrade Zhu Zhenjun won the bronze award for Newborn Calf. In June, 1985, the Association held its fourth member congress, and was elected as the chairman, with Huang Keqin, Mei Cun, Zhang, Ding Zunxin, Xie as the vice-chairmen. Zhao and Liu Jian are nominal chairmen, and Chen Lihua, Yao Shaocang are consultants. Xie concurrently served as Secretary-General, and was later added as Deputy Secretary-General, responsible for the daily work of the Association. Li Deyi, Zhang Guodong, Li Futang and Yan Zhixiang are resident cadres who worked in Jixian Polling Association from 65438 to 0987. The membership has increased to 623.

Under the strong momentum of photography craze, the Association established the Hubei Tutorial Station of China Photography Correspondence College in May 1985, and changed it to Hubei Branch in May 1989, training more than 3,600 students in fifteen years. It sent a large number of photographers to the association. In August of the same year, Newspaper Photography World was founded, and 1986 was changed to a color version, with Mei Cun and Ding Zun as new editors, and Li Deyi and Yan Zhixiang as editors. * * * Published four issues (including one in color),1At the end of 997, the newspaper was merged into the magazine Art and Times of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

1985 10, comrade ye's portrait "hunting" and comrade Huang chunhui's "treasure of things" were selected for the third Beijing international photography art exhibition.

1986 10, Time shot by Comrade Zhang Bingfa in the 14th National Photography Art Exhibition. "Life" won the silver award, and "Eternity" filmed by Comrade Huang Chunhui won the bronze award.

1987 10, Zou Feng shot by lixi and Colorful Road shot by Huang Mangshan were selected for the 4th Beijing International Photography Art Exhibition.

1989 10 at the 5th International Photography Art Exhibition, Lan Qing's Descendants of Liangshan won the silver prize.

1990 10 The Thinker filmed by Comrade Peng Niansheng won the gold medal in the 16th National Photography Art Exhibition, which liberated the mind and brought great development to the art. During this period, the photography art was extremely active and developed by leaps and bounds, and photography creation, photography theory, photography education, foreign exchange and practice flourished. Wuhan University, Huazhong Normal University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology have successively set up special photography classes. The diversion of news photography and artistic photography, the continuous expansion of foreign exchanges, and the influx of various schools and thoughts from abroad have stimulated the diversified exploration and development of various photography art schools in China. With the vigorous development of Hubei photography, Hubei photography was once in a state of disorder due to the influence of the unity of the association team. In May, 1990, Li Futang was appointed as the Acting Secretary-General, responsible for the daily work of the Association. Ji Xianmin and Qi Jianhua are resident cadres. 199 1 in March, the association held a presidium meeting, accepted Comrade Li Futang's request to resign from the post of secretary-general, and decided to transfer Comrade Yan Zhixiang back to the association as the permanent secretary-general to preside over the daily work of the association. On September 6th, 2002, the Association held its fifth member congress, and elected Yu as its chairman, Ding Zunxin, Huang Keqin, Li, Fan Deshou, She and Yan Zhixiang as its vice-chairmen, and Yan Zhixiang as its secretary-general, who was responsible for the daily work of the Association. Li Futang, Ji Xianmin and Qi Jianhua are resident cadres. 1In May 1993, Comrade Li Futang retired and worked in Huang Dayong's transfer association.1In July 1996, he worked in Wu Transfer Association, and in September of the same year, he worked in Shi Jianwen Transfer Association. During this period, the whole national system is transitioning from a planned economy to a market economy, and the work of the association is facing new challenges. The new Presidium adjusted its thinking in time, faced the society, and took the road of combining career with art. In the creation and theoretical discussion of photography art, it always adhered to the direction of "two acts" and the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom", persisted in carrying forward the main theme of the times, and persisted in integrating theory with practice, so that photography art activities flourished.

1 991July1day, the association and related units jointly held a large-scale photo art exhibition "Without the * * * production party, there would be no new China" in Wuhan Exhibition Hall to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the * * * production party in China. Deng Zemin, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, presided over the opening ceremony. Relevant leaders of provincial and municipal people's congresses, provincial and municipal CPPCC and thousands of people attended the opening ceremony.

1991July 13, Hubei Photographers Association took the lead in calling on photographers to go deep into the front line of flood fighting and emergency rescue, taking photography as a weapon, and eulogizing the spirit of the times of Qi Xin, the broad masses of soldiers and civilians, working together to fight natural disasters. And held the "Hubei military and civilian flood fighting and disaster relief photography exhibition" with the relevant units of * * *. Jiang Qisheng, president of China Press Photography Society, praised: "Hubei has done a great thing for the photography industry in China".

1992 1 month, the association held the "Hubei Photography New Year Friendship Association" in Hubei Hotel, and invited Han Ningfu, member of the Central Advisory Committee, Shen, chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Liang Shufen, deputy director of the Provincial People's Congress, Shi Chuan and Huang, deputy directors of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Lu, Deng Zemin and Hu Jiaxiang, secretary-general, researcher Xiao, chairman and vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chen Jiaxiang.

1992 in mid-April, the association organized more than 40 photographic creation backbones to go to the Dabie Mountain Revolutionary Old Area to carry out the "Dabie Mountain Spring" photographic creation activities. Before departure, the members of the creative team studied the spirit of the central leadership's speech on literary and artistic work, and invited Deng Zemin, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Zou Mingshan, director of literature and art, and Liu Bang, secretary general of the China Photographers Association, to make mobilization speeches respectively.

On May 15, the photo art exhibition "Spring in Dabie Mountain" opened in Wuhan Art Museum, with 163 works. Shi Chuan, director of the Provincial People's Congress, wrote an inscription for the exhibition "Carry forward the glorious tradition and revitalize the old revolutionary base areas". More than 300 leaders from the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the literary and art circles attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

On May 19, the Association held a photography creation seminar and an excellent works award seminar on "Spring in Dabie Mountain", and commended the units and excellent works that won the organizational work award around the issues of "art and people, art and life, art and reform".

1993 10, Hubei held a national symposium on industrial photography creation, attended by Han Ningfu, Shen, Ishikawa, Huang, Wang Chongnong, Zhao, Vice Minister Zhou Zuyuan, and nearly 100 photographers from all provinces in China. Break through the boring situation of photography in one fell swoop and create a new way of marriage between enterprise and art.

This series of photography creation, exhibition, discussion, communication and networking activities greatly mobilized the enthusiasm of the majority of members and further enhanced the cohesion, centripetal force and appeal of the association.

1In March, 1994, China Photographers Association introduced and promoted Hubei experience at the National Photography Work Conference. Photographic newspapers and periodicals have introduced the situation in Hubei many times, calling that year the "Hubei Year" of photography.

The association closely revolves around the central work of the party and the government, adheres to the direction of "two actions" and the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom", and records the development of the times and the progress of social development with cameras.

By the end of 2000, according to incomplete statistics, there were more than 5 1 people holding photography exhibitions, more than 54 people publishing photography collections and monographs, and more than 2 14 works won prizes in national and international photography exhibition competitions, and more than 23 papers were published at the annual meeting of national photography theory. 139 people joined the China Photographers Association. The membership in Hubei has also grown to more than 1500.

Since the establishment of Hubei Photographers' Association for more than 40 years, there have been many talented people in Hubei photography field, the photography team has been growing, the photography activities are colorful, the photography creation is in full swing, the photography theory is diversified, the photography results are colorful, and the cohesion, centripetal force and appeal of the association have been continuously enhanced. With pure and beautiful hearts, photographers decorate the palace of art with their own creative achievements, record the course of social development, carry forward the main theme of the times, enrich people's spiritual and cultural life, and produce works, talents and achievements.
