What are the main contents of anthropometry?

Anthropology (English name: Anthropology) is a branch of physical anthropology, which can be applied to the study of paleoanthropology and the product development in the fields of clothing, aerospace and so on.

Position and method of anthropometry

Anthropometry is divided into male anthropometry and female anthropometry. The measurement parts, methods and steps of male anthropometry and female anthropometry are basically the same. Among them, the female body measurement requirements are higher, and there are more parts to be measured. Here, taking female anthropometry as an example, the position and method of male anthropometry can refer to female anthropometry.

1. Height. The vertical distance from the top of the head to the ground.

2. The length of clothes. The front garment length is measured vertically downward from the neck and shoulders, passing through the highest point of the chest until the required length of the garment, and the back garment length is measured downward from the midpoint of the back collar until the required length of the garment.

3. Neck circumference. Measure 2cm below the Adam's apple for one week, and add 2.5-3cm to relax.

4. bust. Measure horizontally around the fullest part of the chest at the armpit before the chest, and the tightness shall be subject to the rotation of the soft ruler.

5. Shoulder width. On the upper back, measure from the outer end of the left shoulder bone to the outer end of the right shoulder bone.

6. Sleeve length. The outer end of the scapula is measured to the required length.

7. Chest height. Measure from neck and shoulder to nipple.

8. Chest distance. The distance between two nipples.

9. Lumbar joint height (length). The height (length) of the front waist joint is measured from the neck and shoulder point to the thinnest part of the waist through the highest point of the chest, and the height (length) of the back waist joint is measured from the middle point of the back collar to the thinnest part of the waist.

10. Pant length. Starting from the hip bone on one side of the waist, measure vertically down 3 cm below the ankle bone or according to the required length.

1 1. skirt length. The distance from the hip bone on the side of the waist to the ground measured vertically downwards is 1/2 or according to the required length.

12. Measure horizontally around the thinnest part of the waist for one week.

13. Hips. Measure horizontally around the most plump part of the hip, and the tightness shall be subject to the rotation of the soft ruler. This is the full circumference size.

14. Hip height. Measure the distance from the lateral waist and hip bone to the fullest hip circumference.

15. Upper crotch length. Measure the distance from the waist hip bone to the stool surface where the subject sits.
