How do novices choose the first landing board?

Later, by another chance, I began to promote the Road Rush Movement from the media. After half a year's use and evaluation of several brands of road punching boards, a set of novice "three-step board selection rules" is summarized for your reference (the step diagram can be found at the end of the article).

Step 1: Understand the support system.

Beginners should first understand the two most mainstream landing support systems (also known as "bridges")-spring bridge and general bridge before choosing to land on the floor. These two kinds of bridges have their own characteristics, which are quite different:

Spring bridge is characterized by flexibility, the advantage is that driving is easy and simple, and novices can get started quickly and experience the fun of sliding. The disadvantage is that it is too flexible, the single pedal is very unstable, and it is easy to develop the wrong way of exerting force, which makes the sliding posture look strange. It is not recommended to use in flat ground and bowl pool.

Puqiao is characterized by "stability", which is suitable for practicing the basic movements of skateboarding such as single pedal and helping you find the right way to exert your strength. It is also very suitable for advanced diving into the bowl pool. The corresponding disadvantage is that it may be difficult for beginners based on 0 to drive the board to slide before finding the correct way to exert force.

Simply put, the happiness of Chunqiao is in the early stage, and the happiness of Puqiao is in the late stage. If your purpose is to buy boards, and you are sure that you will change boards after into the pit, it is suggested to start with the spring bridge. If you want this board to accompany you for a longer time and are not afraid to get started, I would even suggest starting with PU board directly. After all, there is a saying circulating in Lu Chong's circle that "young people don't know whether the general is good or not, and they mistakenly think that the spring is a treasure".

Step 2: Choose the brand according to the psychological price.

Many brands will focus on making only one scaffolding system board, or a system board is particularly excellent, so make sure that the direct system can help you directly delete some wrong answers.

There are too many miscellaneous brands in the market. If you have enough budget (at least 1k+) and don't want to be cheated, it is recommended to directly choose the most famous brands: Carver (Puqiao), Yow (Quanqiao), Slide (Quanqiao) and Smoothstar Six-Six (Puqiao).

If the budget is not enough, if you want to buy a few hundred boards, you can go and see domestic brands. However, I also want to remind you that domestic brands are mixed, and most of the bridges are imitation imported bridges. The sliding feeling is also very different from the more expensive imported board. After all, you get what you pay for. Here I also recommend several domestic brands that I have evaluated and found to be good for reference: Zhanyi (Puqiao) Lane (Chunqiao) backwave (Puqiao) Takeit (Puqiao).

Step 3: Select board type/pattern and size.

After locking one or several brands you like, the last step is to finally choose the first floor that suits you best according to the pattern you like and the size that suits you.

Briefly share my own considerations about choosing the board. First thought to be actually a plate flower. After all, looking good can stimulate my desire to take it out every day.

I'll consider the plate type after the face value has passed. In fact, the plate type mainly depends on the shape of the tail (round tail/dovetail/square tail, etc.). ) and the depth of the footwell (slab/shallow footwell/deep footwell). Many beginners will like the dovetail shape. Although it looks good, the fact is that "the wider the tail, the more comfortable it is to practice." Especially in the advanced process, you will learn the cool action of turning your tail. A wide tail will help you learn it more easily and quickly.

In fact, the choice of foot pits depends more on personal preferences. For beginners who have never played Lu Chong at all, I recommend using shallow footpits. A little pit can help you find the right place where your feet should be placed faster, and it won't make you uncomfortable and insecure because the pit is too deep.

I put size last because I think size is important but not necessary. Most of the official recommendations 150- 165cm use 29-3 1 inch, 165- 180 use 3 1-33 inch, 180 use 32 inch. But I've seen many boys in 180 use 30-inch boards, and boys in 160 use 33-inch boards, all of which are very comfortable.

So the size is at the end, that is, if the size of the board selected according to the previous steps is just within your suitable range, then don't hesitate to do it. If it is not within the scope, you can hesitate to compare other options, but it does not mean that this board will pass.

Novice is the most vulnerable stage, because there is no good protective gear, there are many people with fractures and concussion on the first day, so don't take any chances.
