Owen Bloomfield was the highest paid photographer in the 20th century. He was born in a Jewish family in Germany. After two world wars, he moved to the Netherlands and France, and finally fled to the United States to become a commercial photographer, and had deep cooperation with Vogue and Bazaar. Blumenfeld started his photography in 1930s, and was deeply influenced by Dadaism. He is famous for his surreal fashion photography. His photographic works are abstract, distorted and unexpected, which gives people a strong visual impact.
