Version 1

The thief played by Andy Lau, with an elaborate robbery and kidnapping, attracted Liu Qingyun, the first negotiator of the police. Andy Lau asked Liu Qingyun to play a 72-hour gangster game with himself, and then escaped safely. In order to catch Andy Lau, an arrogant thief, Andy Lau cleverly approached him, and Liu Qingyun was forced to get involved in this completely passive game.

Confrontation again and again, the police always fall behind and can only be led by thieves. Liu Qingyun vowed to wash the snow and catch the thief Andy Lau. It turns out that the thief is terminally ill and can only live for four weeks. His father died at the hands of the gangster Li Zixiong, and the thief decided to take one last chance to avenge his father.

Hua (Andy Lau), who has only four weeks to live because of cancer, robs financial companies, takes diamonds and takes hostages. Sheng () has just been transferred as a civilian and negotiator. He rushed to the scene to try to persuade China to surrender. Hua threatened to play games with Sheng for 72 hours and run away, which made Sheng deeply angry. In the process of escape, Hua met a police roadblock, so he tried to kidnap Ting () and pretend to be a couple, so that he could hide his eyes and ears and escape. The two met unintentionally and left a deep impression on each other.

The 72-hour game started with a screw given by China to Sheng, who broke into a financial company day and night, only to be cheated by China. It turns out that Hua has been monitoring students and using commercial maps to rob Chen, which is the mastermind behind the transportation company next door to the finance company. Hua lured the tiger away from the mountain with his own life, pretended to be Chen, got the jewelry from Chen's men, and then fled the scene.
