Creative background

Around April 2011, when the manga "Red Kure-nai" drawn by Yamamoto Yamato was completed, he began to look for the original work for the next manga. After Kōhiro Kurita, the editor of Kodansha's Rino Bunko, learned of the news, he proposed to Kagami Takaya the idea of ??Kodansha and Shueisha jointly planning novels and comics. The next day he called Shueisha's "JUMP SQ" editor Kosuge Hayabusa, who said it was very interesting, and the two settled the matter after meeting.

In the next year and a half, Jing Gui also began to conceive the work and created 15 drafts of comic scripts. The settings during this period were very different from those during the serialization, such as "Monster" and "Shrine in the Mountain". Since the original target was the overseas market, I was worried that my work would not be sold overseas, so I became a "vampire". (The original setting was a story about a temple that collapsed while climbing and was cursed by a monster released.)

When the first chapter of the comic was serialized and ranked No. 1, Jing Gui was extremely happy and determined. Gained creative confidence. Because Furiya Daisuke drew storyboards for Yamamoto Yamato when he was serializing "Red Kure-nai", the joint creation of the three authors of the manga "Seraph of the End" officially began.
