Stories are easy to write, but years are hard to sing. At this moment, it is most worthwhile to work in Guilin for a local trip.

I originally planned to practice in the summer vacation, but I quit my original internship because I thought it was inappropriate. After that, I wanted to find another one, and there was no news until the end of July. Last summer vacation, I don't want to spend it like this.

So, I resumed my previous alternative-working at night. Considering the distance (convenient transportation) and the little pocket money left, I decided to go to Guilin.

I found the information about volunteer travel on VOLUNTOUR (official account of WeChat, which has been paid attention to for a long time and is more reliable). I filled in the registration form carefully. In less than 24 hours, someone added me to WeChat to contact me and asked me some basic information.

After that, I added QQ, a shopkeeper, made a simple self-introduction, skills, hobbies and time arrangement, and also learned the basic contents of volunteer work in the inn. The communication with the shopkeeper (innkeeper) is very smooth. After the conversation, it's basically decided-I'll go to the inn in August 1.

Although this decision is not crazy, it is a new breakthrough compared with myself now in the comfort zone: a person goes to another city and starts another life.

20 years old, I don't know what I can do; However, after this slightly sad July, I suddenly seem to understand something: let go of what I want to do and be young and have no regrets! Many years later, I can still remember the mood at this moment: a little expectation, a little excitement! Fortunately, there is no fear.

Everything has been settled. Don't worry about the past, don't be afraid of the future, wait for August and find another possibility of life!

Two days before departure, I bought a ticket from Guangzhou South to Guilin North in August 1 (RMB137; ; 2h 40 min), this is my first time to take a bullet train. August 1 departure. The scenery on the road is very good, so we go north station by station.

Arrive at Guilin North Station in the afternoon and take a bus to the inn soon. Inn in the community, three-story duplex, small and fresh decoration style. Because it is located on the top floor, plus the height limit of Guilin, it has a broader vision and is surrounded by mountains.

But to be honest, I still feel a little lost compared with my expectations.

First of all, the air in Guilin, which is slightly polluted, has been continuous since the day I arrived, and the high temperature is comparable to that in Guangzhou.

Secondly, the inn here basically has guests checking out every day, so it is not easy to be on duty every morning (taking turns to be on duty and resting), and the afternoon and evening are fine, but trivial matters continue and time is cut into pieces.

Finally, I suddenly feel homesick. As soon as I arrived at the inn these days, I watched Xiong Peiyun's Hometown Chaser, and many plots in it reminded me of my deep nostalgia for my hometown.

This is especially true when cooking at noon. I can cook for two people I just met, but I have never cooked a decent lunch for my parents. I thought to myself at that time: I must go back and cook a meal for my parents this holiday.

As the work began and the process became familiar, my disappointment was quickly compressed.

The basic work on the day of duty is: preparing breakfast in the morning, cleaning the room (including cleaning and making the bed) and making lunch if the guests check out; Sit at the front desk in the afternoon, receive incoming guests and provide other services. Occasionally go to the balcony to water the flowers in the afternoon.

On the first night of duty, Sister Yun (the shopkeeper) taught us to make bread. The next morning, I opened the lid of the bread machine and thought, I learned to make bread.

Sister Yun always has many novel snacks, and there are fruits in the refrigerator. In the meantime, she also taught me to make coffee and stew pork. If my biggest gain in the inn is anything, it must be cooking.

In the inn, you will meet all kinds of guests, some are warm and friendly, some are difficult and picky, and sometimes you will encounter some troubles. But overall, it's ok.

An aunt from Beijing went to Kaili, Guizhou for a holiday and found that the ticket from Kaili to Guilin was only 50 yuan, so she came over. When having dinner with Sister Yun at noon, she always sighed with us: "I went out this morning and saw the dishes sold by vendors and wanted to buy them. You can't buy such dishes in Beijing. The spinach in the vegetable market is thin and long, and there is no taste of vegetables. " It turns out that eating this dish is also a kind of happiness for people in many big cities.

In the inn, I also met two boys riding from Hunan. Arriving in Guilin, they have ridden nearly 400 kilometers, and their destination is Beihai. The whole journey is guided by navigation, and there is no established route. One of the boys said, "I want to ride the Sichuan-Tibet line in the future." Such young people can bear hardships and have their own ideas.

I also met a girl from Yili, Xinjiang, and made a detailed tour guide for Yun Jie and me in Xinjiang. Ili apricot blossom, eternal yearning.

I often see the whole family go out to contract three or four rooms, and I can see the happiness of the smile on the old man's face.

In the inn, I also met fellow villagers and young photographers with Chinese style ... all kinds of people made me see many unknown things.

8.3 Dongxi Lane

On the afternoon of the third day, because the work in the morning was finished, Sister Yun asked us to go to Dongxi Lane in the afternoon. It is about five or six stops from the inn by bus.

8.4

My partner, A Qing, left in advance because he was in a hurry. I was the only volunteer in the inn. Sister Yun asked me to clean and make the bed in the morning, and I was free in the afternoon.

8.5 Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area

Guilin's business card-two rivers and four lakes, Sister Yun said that she could visit them one by one. I went shopping in the afternoon and visited two lakes.

If it is noon, it should be not much different from ordinary parks, but on a sunny afternoon, the scenery is still beautiful. Against the backdrop of mountains and rivers, the sunset is magnificent.

8.7 Xiangshan Scenic Area

I was free this afternoon, so Sister Yun let me go. Riding a yellow car, I basically visited the scenic spots of the two rivers and four lakes and Xiangshan Park. I prefer this natural color to artificial lighting at night, so I went back before dark.

Then I visited the pedestrian street at the intersection of Xicheng, saw many shops with ethnic characteristics, and ate very cheap and delicious watermelons.

Waiting for the 100 bus to return to the inn at Xicheng intersection, there was no bus after waiting for a long time. I just sit and play with my mobile phone. An old man next to him said kindly, "Little girl, don't miss the bus by playing with your mobile phone." My heart was warm at that time.

8. 1 1 Reed Flute Scenic Area

After waking up in the afternoon, I went out, thought about it, and decided to go to Lujiacun. But it's cloudy, and I'm afraid it will rain. Halfway through the ride, turn to the reed flute scenic spot a little closer.

Follow the card, follow the heart. There are many old-fashioned low-level houses near the Reed Flute Scenic Area, and I quite like hanging around them. Tree-lined, old buildings, mottled walls. I can clearly feel the traces of time. However, the weather was rather gloomy, and I returned in time before I arrived at Lujia Village.

8. 12-8. 15

It basically rains in Guilin these days.

It is raining. I have mixed feelings of sadness and joy. Sad, I can't go out to play because of the rain; Yes, it's because there are fewer guests booking on rainy days that I naturally relax.

The rain usually stops around seven o'clock in the evening, so naturally I can't be idle. Always say hello to Sister Yun, and then sneak out for dinner. Although I haven't eaten all the shops nearby, I have basically seen them.

8. 17 Duxiufeng-Wangcheng Scenic Area

I didn't look at mobile navigation, but looked at the street sign riding all the way. Unconsciously, I came to Jingjiang District, the unique peak in Wang Fu. So I abandoned the car and walked. However, I didn't enter the palace.

The water level of this river has risen because of the continuous precipitation for several days. The river bed is wider than usual. I walked along the river to Xiaoyao Building.

I climbed up the tall building, the setting sun was dazzling, and my eyes seemed to be lost.

8. 18-8.2 1

Just browsing these days, nothing new ~

8.2 1 Yushan Bridge-Lijiang River

I decided to leave the inn on August 23rd. At lunch on the 22nd, Sister Yun asked me if I had gained anything. I replied, "Of course, for example, I seem to like cooking now."

Sister Yun said that at your present level, any youth brigade would want you to be a volunteer.

I'm very happy to hear it. This is my affirmation, cherish ~

Later, she booked me a one-day trip from Guilin to Yangshuo as a reward.

On the morning of 23rd, I just left. The city has always remained in my memory. I walked through the streets, stopped to miss the sunset, but I wanted to go away at any time.

Keywords: motorcycles, food stalls, caves in mountains and rivers

If I had to sum up the city in three words, I would choose "motorcycle", "food stall" and "cave". Needless to say, the landscape cave is already a business card of Guilin.

In Guilin, at night, the motorcycle lanes on the roadside become crowded. I tried to take the bus several times when I went out, but I was blocked by the motorcycle flow. Some pedestrian sections are also occupied by parked motorcycles.

Several food stalls outside the community are very lively at night, and more than a dozen big round tables are packed. Some of them are shouting, others are eating and drinking.

Walking in the most prosperous commercial street in Guilin, the number of people is "scarce", even worse than the food stalls in the community. Suddenly I feel that life is a step slower. Maybe it's because people who have seen Guangzhou Shangxiajiu and Tianhe City shopping malls are crowded. When they meet this quiet shopping spot, they will feel a little uncomfortable, but they enjoy it.

Consistent specifications, arched roof

Guilin is limited in height, so the height of the house is very consistent. The roof is even, too. What I saw in the north of Guilin was basically arched.

Noodles have many varieties, good quality and low price.

There will be all kinds of rice noodle shops along the street in Guilin, which are basically very cheap. I ordered a beef hot and sour powder at a noodle restaurant in Wal-Mart. The price is 8 yuan, full and delicious.

The picture above shows the snail powder eaten in Dongxi Lane. There is also a bronze medal hanging in front of the store. Look closely, "Guilin Dove Festival netizens like shops best". Hey, what is "Dove Festival"?

Besides noodles, there are many fruits that are also very cheap. No wonder there are always mangoes and grapes in Sister Yun's refrigerator. I once bought an iced watermelon at the intersection of Xicheng. I said, about 6 yuan is enough. But I didn't expect 6 yuan to be nearly two or three pounds.

I. Summary of expenditures

24 days (including two days of sightseeing in Yangshuo) main expenses:

Round-trip fare: ① air ticket from Guangzhou to Guilin: ¥137.5; ② Return ticket from Yangshuo to Guangzhou: ¥ 1 17.

Daily expenses: I usually have dinner with Sister Yun, go out to play and occasionally eat noodles outside, and also buy snacks to eat snacks (a lot of expenses (? _? )), and some daily necessities.

Accommodation: Yangshuo Youth Travel Service: ¥40

The total cost is about 670.

Second, volunteer travel cannot be idealized.

If I want to grade my volunteer trip, I will give 7 points (10). Summarizing my experience and the cases I have seen in the past, here are some suggestions and opinions I have given:

1. The staff rooms provided by the inn for volunteers are not necessarily better than ordinary beds. There are only two kinds of accommodation for volunteers in youth travel or inn, one is staff room, and the other is ordinary bed. My inn provides staff rooms, but I think it is more like a utility room, with small space and a bit of a mess. Personally, I feel more casual and acceptable ~

2. Unstable working hours are closely related to travel time and place. Take Guilin where I live as an example. Summer vacation is the tourist season, and there is a great demand for accommodation. The inn is basically full every day. The scenic spots in the city can basically be visited in a day or two, so guests will check out after staying for a day or two. This means that the inn has to tidy up the rooms every day, and the number is not small, and my workload is also large. But when the weather and other factors interfere, the workload will be greatly reduced.

3. The work content is repetitive and detailed. Taking my job as an example, tidying up the room seems simple. However, today's B&B hotels are relying on meticulous and unique services to win the trust and support of their guests and establish their own brand image. Therefore, cleaner, more hygienic and more humane has become their pursuit. As a volunteer, it is natural to do things well and carefully as required.

4. If you have an idea in your heart, you must actively communicate with your boss. As a volunteer, if you are unhappy, you must ask me. Solve the existing problems and speak out your inner thoughts. In this way, it is good for both sides ~

Chen Shu's songs always give me courage and urge me to take every "first step". The story is really easy to write, but time and tide wait for no man. Try more while you are still young. It's worth it now!

It is not a great thing for a person to travel as a volunteer, but every "first time" in life is worth remembering ~
